Jose Mourinho confirms Alexis Sanchez transfer is 'so close'

Mourinho was speaking after United's 1-0 win against Burnley at Turf Moor.

Asked about the rumoured transfer of Sanchez, Mourinho said that the deal was, "so close," amid reports that only paperwork remains for Sanchez to come to Old Trafford and Henrikh Mkhitaryan moving the other way.

The coach said: "It's so close, so close, so close that if it doesn’t happen, it’s not going to happen.

"I’m positive, I know my people are doing everything, absolutely everything they can, the owners with the green light, Mr [Ed] Woodward working hard, everybody is giving everything they can, and I think they will be successful"
