And that's that at Stamford Bridge. Didn't all go Chelsea's way to begin with, but Hazard was the star as the Blues recovered in style. They move level on points with Manchester United ahead of their trip to Arsenal this evening.
Shot to nothing from Shelvey, but his effort sails wide to cheers from the hosts.
Chelsea have this one sewn up, and there will be just three minutes added on.
Couple of corners for Newcastle and the second ends with Clark heading over from about 10 yards out.
Great last-ditch tackle from Ritchie, who denies Drinkwater of all people when we brought down a ball over the top.

Final sub for the visitors...
Chelsea chasing a fourth here. They're certainly enjoying themselves out there now. Moses and Bakayoko see shots blocked after Morata's delightful spin on the edge of the area helps continue the attack.
Newcastle will end the game 12th, but they could well slip further down the table come the end of the day. It looks like a sixth game without a win, and they could be as low as 17th by the end of the weekend.

Chelsea's devilish duo go off. Hazard and Fabregas have been brilliant this afternoon, and Willian and Bakayoko take their place.

Second change for Newcastle as Shelvey comes on for Diame.
- Goal by penaltyEden HazardChelsea
Hazard makes it three from the spot! The Belgian coolly, calmly and cheekily chips the ball down the middle with Darlow diving to his left.
Penalty to Chelsea! Ritchie catches Moses and the referee points to the spot...
Under 20 to go...
CLOSE! A lovely one-two between Hazard and Drinkwater, but the Belgian can't quite get his bearings and can only get a flick of the boot onto his effort, which trickles harmlessly wide.
Two corners in quick succession for Chelsea, both are taken short and the second one sees Hazard cut inside before unleashing a low striker, but Darlow gets down to make the save.
SAVE! Darlow is called into action, but it's a simple save from Moses' header.
Just no way through for Newcastle at the moment. They haven't really come close since their opener. Time to gamble, methinks.
Fabregas almost has too much time on the edge of the box as he looks to set himself perfectly before striking. However, he does take too long and sees his eventual effort blocked.
- OffAyoze PérezNewcastle United
- OnIsaac HaydenNewcastle United
And there is Rafa's first change... Perez's last touch is flashing a shot well wide as he comes off for Hayden.
As we hit the hour-mark Newcastle are yet to make a change, you get the sense Rafa needs to freshen it up somewhat.
No penalty! But in fairness Hazard wasn't really looking for it himself... After jinking past a couple of defenders he goes, but it's more of his own doing than anything else after losing balance.
CLOSE! Hazard goes for goal from 20 yards out and the deflection could have taken it anywhere, but fortunately for Newcastle it's a whisker wide after coming off Clark.
Moses carries the ball into the Newcastle half before Fabregas sees his cross deflect out for a corner, which does not find a man in blue however.
Not quite going Newcastle's way at the moment. Gayle dithers on the ball and that allows Kante to make a well-timed tackle.
Cross from Murphy is one of those that has Courtois worrying for a split second but it's not quite on target, nor does it find a Newcastle man.
Former Chelsea and Germany midfielder Michael Ballack is a happy man so far...
Dangerous ball across the box from Hazard but no team-mate can meet it. 14 minutes has passed since Morata last scored a header. Disappointing.
- 2nd Half
Seconds out... round two. Time to see if Chelsea can defend their lead...
- End of 1st Half
And there's the half-time whistle... From a goal down after 12 minutes, Chelsea went ahead 20 minutes later. A champion response, but the job's only half done for the hosts.
- Yellow cardCiaran ClarkNewcastle United
First card of the afternoon is for Clark after he brings down Hazard.
Newcastle earn themselves a corner just before the break. Ritchie goes over to take but the header from Merino is high and wide and out for a goal-kick.
Two minutes to be added on...
Loves a header
Chelsea just looking to put this game beyond Newcastle before the break. Fabregas' ball over the top is inches away from being perfect but Hazard can't quite get to it.
Free-kick out wide after Fabregas goes down... Chance to cross one in. It's Fabregas to take but Newcastle clear their lines.
Heads, you win...
Newcastle are aggrieved with the manner of Chelsea's second, with Morata clearly pushing Mbemba in the build-up. But Kevin Friend was no friend for the visitors there...
- GoalÁlvaro MorataChelsea
Chelsea take the lead! And this time it's Morata!
Moses' cross is drilled into the box and it's yet another Morata header, who uses the pace of the ball to direct it on target.
Newcastle go on the attack but as Gayle works his way into the Chelsea box he is dispossessed and the hosts have it back once more.
All Chelsea now. They responded to going a goal down in some style, and the champions are certainly on top with the scores back level.
That man again...
- GoalEden HazardChelsea
Chelsea are level! And it's that man Eden Hazard... Moments after Christensen hits the post for Chelsea, it's Hazard who picks up the loose ball inside the area, and sees his effort dart into the ground before flying into the far corner.
No penalty.... Rudiger's ball over the top picks out Morata, who brings it down immediately but is then brought down by Darlow. He looks to the referee asking the question, but Kevin Friend says no...
The striker was in fact offside, so justice is somewhat served.
GREAT SAVE! Darlow to the resue for Newcastle as he denies Hazard an equaliser from point-blank range.
Chelsea look for an immediate response, but Darlow rises to claim the corner... Chelsea earn another corner but this time Christensen heads wide.
- GoalDwight GayleNewcastle United
GOAL! Dwight Gayle gives Newcastle the lead and it's all come from a horrendous Chelsea mistake. Alonso's pass back is poor and Courtois comes rushing out to deny Murphy, but the ricochet falls kindly into the path of Gayle, who slides in an easy opener.
First real attempt of the match falls to Merino, but after receiving the ball from Perez, his tame attempt is comfortably saved by Courtois.
Cynical foul from Diame as he brings down Hazard before the Chelsea playmaker can break into the Newcastle half. Too early for a booking, and Kevin Friend rightly keeps his cards in his pockets.
Chelsea camped around the Newcaslte box but they struggle to find an opening. Drinkwater's first cross is blocked, and while the second picks out Morata, the hosts overplay the ball and Moses is flagged for offside.
Pretty slow start to the game in truth. Given both sides played in midweek, perhaps not the easiest to be playing in Saturday's early kick-off. Four and three changes respectively arguably shows that's the case...
Decent start from the visitors as they look to press high. Ritchie's cross tries to pick out Murphy but Christensen is there to clear.
- 1st Half
Right then! We're underway. Chelsea looking to close the gap at the top, Newcastle looking for a first win in six...
Out come the teams then at Stamford Bridge, led by Azpilicueta and Clark. Moments away from kick-off...
Chelsea are third in the table with 29 points after nine wins, two draws and two defeats, but Antonio Conte stressed that his team have to believe they can close the 11-point gap on leaders Manchester City.
" It's right for the mentality. In every game we must have the right desire and will to fight. In this moment it is very difficult. They (City) are getting good results at the end of the game many times."
And with Chelsea not facing ANY of the current top nine in seven matches this December, it's a distinct possibilty...
Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez will return to Chelsea confident he will receive a good reception after his brief cameo at Stamford Bridge.
Benitez was drafted in to replace manager Roberto di Matteo in November 2012 and although he was only in charge for a little more than six months, he delivered owner Roman Abramovich a third-placed Premier League finish and the Europa League title.
" I think the fans will be fine. The normal fans who you can find on the streets were okay with me."
" When you go to the game, the rivalry between Chelsea and Liverpool changed things and the perceptions of some people. The majority of people realised I was doing a professional job."
" We finished third, like Abramovich wanted, to qualify straight for the Champions League. We did it and we won the Europa League in the meantime. I think the fans will be happy with that."
