Victor Moses grabbed the winner as Chelsea applied pressure to their top-four rivals with a 2-1 victory at Burnley.
Chelsea started both Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud up front as they looked to cut the gap between themselves and fourth-placed Spurs to five points.
The away side were the most dangerous side from the off, and finally went ahead when Nick Pope cut out Victor Moses' cross, only for Kevin Long to bounce the rebound into his own net.
In the second half, Johan Gudmundsson's strike at distance flicked off Ashley Barnes' boot to defeat Thibaut Courtois. Minutes later, Chelsea were back ahead when Victor Moses drilled in a low shot past Nick Pope in the Burnley goal.
Chelsea will be delighted with victory, but Antonio Conte may be worried by Alvaro Morata after a dreadful miss was followed up by an angry sideshow on the bench when he was pulled off.

TALKING POINT

Can Chelsea catch Spurs? The gap has been reduced to five points now, and Chelsea have entered one of their best stretches of form all season. It might be too little, too late, but Spurs must start to feel the pressure if they wobble in their coming matches.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Emerson Palmieri (Chelsea): Making his return from a serious injury, Emerson has been gradually introduced into first team action for Chelsea. Antonio Conte has found a potentially excellent player here, one with plenty to offer in attack and do well in defence. Marcos Alonso's absence was of no matter given Emerson's composed performance.

KEY EVENTS

20' - GOAL! Burnley 0-1 Chelsea. Long own goal - An unfortunate one for Long, who watches Pope push out a Moses cross against his team mate, only to see the ball bounce into his own net.
33' - POPE SAVE! Giroud slips in Morata behind the defence, but Pope rushes out to block his shot smartly.
40' - KANTE SHOT! N'Golo Kante spots space ahead of him to run into, and he drives towards the edge of the box before clipping a shot just over the bar.
55' - MORATA MISS! Alvar-oh. He's set through on goal, sprints past his marker and sizes up Pope. He drills a low shot past the keeper, and against the advertisements. A desperate waste.
64' - GOAL! Burnley 1-1 Chelsea. Barnes scores - Chelsea have the radge on. Gudmundsson cuts inside and strikes from distance. It goes across Barnes inside the box, and he turns away from it, catching the ball with his foot as he does so, fluking an effort past Courtois. Chelsea want the offside, but it isn't.
