Ten-man Tottenham's faltering Premier League form continued as they drew 1-1 with Watford.
Mauricio Pochettino's side have now gone four games without a league win, but will be the happier side after clinging on for a point at Vicarage Road after Davinson Sanchez's red card.
Christian Kabasele broke the deadlock for Watford with an excellent header on 13 minutes, before Heung-Min Son equalised just after the midpoint of the first half.
The balance swung Watford's way when Sanchez needlessly struck Richarlison with a forearm and rightly saw red.

Abdoulaye Doucoure struck the inside of the post, and Watford should have had a 94th-minute penalty for an Eric Dier handball.
But Watford could not find a winner and Tottenham escaped with a share of the points.

TALKING POINT

Spurs' struggles continue: As a standalone result this is by no means a terrible one for Tottenham, who played with ten men for the majority of the second half and were up against a Watford side that began the game only one place lower in the table. But given the wider context of Spurs winning only one of their last five league games before this one, and top four rivals like Chelsea and Liverpool both winning, it’s another disappointing result. There’s no reason to start worrying about the team’s long-term future yet and this is likely just something of a rut rather than Pochettino’s methods being found out by the opposition, but with these results they are losing ground and could well end up missing out on Champions League qualification as a result.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Abdoulaye Doucoure (Watford). Tottenham never really got going and a lot of that was down to the midfield, where they weren’t allowed to dominate because of Doucoure and company. Doucoure was everywhere, influential with and without possession and also came inches away from scoring one of the goals of the season.

KEY MOMENTS

6’ – CHANCE! Almost 1-0 to Tottenham as a brilliant ball from Dier picks out Trippier who volleys across the six yard box towards Kane but he can't get a touch on the ball, under pressure from two defenders, and Watford survive. Subdued appeals for a penalty are ignored.
13’ – GOAL! Watford 1-0 Tottenham (Kabasele). Cleverley's inswinging corner is met by Kabasele six yards out and his glancing header nestles in the far corner.
25’ – GOAL! Watford 1-1 Tottenham (Son). As Watford ask for a penalty, Spurs go straight up the other end and score! Eriksen gets in down the right and crosses low for Son who finishes calmly at the back post.
52’ – RED CARD! Richarlison knocks the ball past Sanchez, who in trying to block him off catches Richarlison in the face with his arm, and it's a straight red card! That looked bad at full speed but it was the forearm, rather than elbow, which made contact with the Watford man but it was reckless.
63’ – OFF THE POST! A corner is cleared as far as Doucoure who unleashes a vicious curling effort that crashes against the post and comes back out across the face of goal. Lloris didn't move - what a hit.
