Aaron Ramsey in Arsenal contract stand-off after demanding double wages

Aaron Ramsey and Arsenal are at a contractual impasse after the midfielder demanded the club double his wages, according to a report.

The Wales international’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and has demanded a significant rise to extend his deal, according to a report in the Evening Standard.
The 27-year-old currently earns £110,000-per-week but is said to want to double his money to bring him in line with the top earners at the Emirates.
Mesut Ozil is currently the club's best paid player, taking home £350,000-per-week.
The midfielder is in a strong bargaining position with Chelsea, Manchester United and Barcelona all said to be monitoring the situation.
Ramsey joined Arsenal in 2008 from Cardiff and has gone on to make 331 appearances for the London club.

It has put players in the authoritative position at the negotiation table. Make no mistake, if Arsenal do not stump up, then Chelsea, Manchester United or Barcelona will.
