English football was stunned on Wednesday morning when Fulham announced, completely out of the blue, that they had sacked Slavisa Jokanovic and replaced him with Claudio Ranieri.

The former Chelsea and Leicester City boss faces the unenviable challenge of lifting Fulham off the bottom of the Premier League table having taken five points from 12 games.
Mind you, Ranieri has performed bigger miracles than that in his time - as many were keen to point out...
The efficiency with which Fulham disposed of Jokanovic and unveiled Ranieri all in the same announcement took many by surprise.
