Wow. What a match. Chelsea are still unbeaten, their 97th minute equaliser preventing United from a second consecutive win. Plenty of talking points. Check out our website for the full run down.
Mourinho appears to have lost it after a member of the Chelsea backroom staff celebrated wildly in front of him. A dramatic end to a dramatic match.
- GoalRoss BarkleyChelsea
GOAAAALLLL! Chelsea 2-2 Man Utd
WOULD YOU BELIEVE IT? Barkley levels the scores! A goal-mouth scramble, the ball hits the post and Barkley fires in a last-gasp equaliser for Chelsea. And now it's all kicking off in the dugout!
CHELSEA PENALTY APPEAL! Mike Dean isn't interested. Pedro's cross found Giroud who stabs it wide at the near post, but the Frenchman wants a spot-kick for the challenge on him by Lindelof. Would have been harsh.
SIX minutes will be added on! Where did that come from?! There is still time for a late, late Chelsea equaliser.
Questions will be asked of Sarri if Chelsea go on to lose this one. They will have dropped points, at home, to Liverpool and United from winning positions, in consecutive matches.
Alonso chips a cross in from the left but United clear without too much trouble. Time is running out for the Blues.

- OffÁlvaro MorataChelsea
- OnOlivier GiroudChelsea
CHELSEA SUB: Olivier Giroud replaces Morata in the Chelsea attack. It's a massive 12 minutes for the Blues. Can the Frenchman provide the spark?
What a finish it was from Martial - could it prove the decisive moment? Rashford's vision shouldn't be overlooked, either. Mourinho's side have looked like a different team in the second period.
- OffJuan MataManchester United
- OnAnder HerreraManchester United
MAN UNITED SUB: Ander Herrera replaces Mata, as the visitors look to shut up shop.
CHELSEA SUB: The hosts make an immediate change, Pedro coming on for Willian.

GOAAAAALLLL! Chelsea 1-2 Man United
MARTIAL AT THE DOUBLE! United are ahead! Mata dances past Luiz and picks out Rashford, who spreads the ball to Martial in space on the left side of the penalty area. He looks up and curls an unstoppable effort beyond Kepa and into the bottom corner.
Kante is played into space by Hazard but his curler is straight forward for De Gea.
- OffMateo KovacicChelsea
- OnRoss BarkleyChelsea
CHELSEA SUB: Ross Barkley replaces Kovacic in midfield.
Lukaku is fed down the left channel and swings a cross into the middle, but none of his team mates are there. Luiz clears. This game remains beautifully poised with just over 20 minutes of normal time to play.
- Yellow cardJuan MataManchester United
Mata loses the ball on the edge of the Chelsea box and commits a foul in an effort to retrieve possession. He earns a yellow card for the challenge.
JUST WIDE! United are fortunate not to concede from yet another set-piece. This is a big chance for Chelsea. Willian swings a clever free-kick to the near post and Luiz has a free header from 10 yards but he glances his effort wide with the goal gaping.
United spring a counter-attack and for the first time this afternoon Lukaku finds some space. A great tackle from Luiz, however, rescues Chelsea who had looked vulnerable for a moment.
Chelsea's corner comes to nothing, but they regain possession and force another. Again, nothing doing. United clear.
Chelsea are back on the attack. Willian and Morata exchange passes to set up Hazard whose low shot is deflected behind for a corner by Smalling.
Oh boy, how a goal can change a game. United fans are in fine voice now, and their team have their tails up. Chelsea are struggling to keep possession.
- GoalAnthony MartialManchester United
GOAL! Chelsea 1-1 Man Utd
MARTIAL LEVELS UP THE SCORES! It comes after a spell of intense pressure. Mata's sweetly-struck volley is parried by Kepa. The ball is spread wide to Young whose cross is deflected off Jorginho, drops kindly to Martial who controls and slots it powerfully into the corner.
Willian's in-swinger is dangerous but De Gea rises above the crowd of bodies to punch it to safety.
Chelsea, and Hazard, are threatening to turn on the style. The Belgian releases Luiz with a delightful back-heel. Luiz twists and turns to create space for a shot but it's blocked by Young.
Hazard is limping - he was caught by Young as he lined up the shot. The Belgian will be OK to continue though.
SHOT! Young is left with the frightening prospect of facing Hazard one-on-one. The Belgian skips past the full-back before firing a fierce shot from a tight angle. It's easy for De Gea.
SAVE! Jorginho surges forward, drawing Smalling out of position before feeding Morata. He is allowed to swivel and volley a shot from inside the box but fails to really catch a hold of it and De Gea makes a comfortable save.
- 2nd Half
The second-half begins, and it's as you were in terms of personnel. There is no Maroune Fellaini on the bench for United, but Alexis Sanchez is an option if Mourinho needs another attacker. Let's see how this pans out.
- End of 1st Half
HALF-TIME: Chelsea 1-0 Man United
The Blues are in complete control of this tie and deservedly lead at the break. Not for the first time this season, Jose Mourinho has quite the team-talk ahead of him.
Two minutes will be added on.
Chelsea continue to probe, dominating and out-numbering United in midfield. They have had 60 per cent of possession in this one-sided first-half. Registered five shots to United's one.
Jorginho's vision is incredible, but the execution isn't quite so perfect on this occasion as he over-cooks a cross-field pass to Willian.
Morata curls one well wide from 25 yards. And that just about sums up his first-half performance, and season in general, really.
Chelsea have the visitors pinned back in their own half, but United are holding their defensive shape well. Five minutes until the half-time break.
Pass, pass, pass from Chelsea.
Lukaku has been left totally isolated, touching the ball a grand total of just six times so far.
Mata with the free-kick delivery, but it's poor and Morata clears at the near post. United need to make the most of such opportunities.
- Yellow cardEden HazardChelsea
United spring an attack on the break. Rashford gallops into space but is then hauled down by the desperate Hazard who takes one for the team, earning a booking in the process.
Kane lifts a pass over the sleeping United defence, finding Alonso who is onside and in acres of space. But his touch is heavy and De Gea collects. It's a real let off for the visitors.
- Yellow cardAntonio RüdigerChelsea
YELLOW CARD! Rudiger goes into the book for barging Pogba while challenging for a header.
Luiz body-checks Rashford who goes down inside the penalty area. There are no appeals for a United spot-kick, though.
- Yellow cardAshley YoungManchester United
United have won only once in 16 matches at Stamford Bridge and they already have a mountain to climb here. And now Young goes into the book for a lunge on Hazard. He needs to be careful.
Prior to the goal, United were actually growing into the contest and were enjoying their best spell of the match. Mourinho will be incensed with conceding such a sloppy goal. Still, they have the best part of 65 minutes to make things right. How will they respond?
Well, well, well. United are asked to come from behind once more. Pogba was at fault for France's goal conceded to Germany on Tuesday night and the finger of blame will be pointed at the United midfielder once more. He was caught sleeping.
It was a good delivery and a fantastic header. But Rudiger won't believe his luck: he stole a march on the flat-footed Pogba and really he couldn't have missed.
- GoalAntonio RüdigerChelsea
GOAAAAALLLLL! Chelsea 1-0 Man Utd
RUDIGER WITH THE OPENER! The defender is left completely unmarked to head home Willian's corner delivery. Who was picking him up? United concede from yet another set-piece this season.
Hazard makes a clever run into the left channel and wins a corner.
That was certainly a chance for United. The visitors are enjoying their best spell of the match presently.
United win a free-kick. Young swings it in, Chelsea only partially clear. The loose ball falls to Shaw who wants to mark his contract extension with an assist, but his cross is headed behind by Lukaku.
And now Matic is on the receiving end of a bruising tackle from Kovacic. Mourinho demands a yellow card, Mike Dean keeps his cards in his pocket. Mourinho fumes.
- Yellow cardNemanja MaticManchester United
YELLOW CARD! Matic commits a foul on Hazard and marks his return to Stamford Bridge with a booking.
It hasn't been the best of starts from United but their loud travelling support are making noise for Mourinho, chanting his name. The Portuguese responds with a wave.
United have a chance to spring a counter-attack. Rashford gallops forward on the flank but he has few options in the penalty box and his cross zips harmlessly across the surface and out for a throw-in on the opposite side.
Hazard, Alonso and Willian are standing over the ball, as Chelsea weigh up their options. Up steps the latter, who leans back and curls his free-kick miles over the bar. Disappointing.
Another Chelsea free-kick, but this time it's in really dangerous territory after Matic is brought down by Mata.
Hazard receives some harsh treatment from Young who clatters into the magical Belgian while challenging for a high ball. Chelsea take the free-kick quickly.
Chelsea have certainly settled into the contest quicker and we have already seen some of that 'Sarri-ball' style of football the Blues faithful have become accustomed to this season. In fact, the hosts have had 83 per cent of possession so far.
Chelsea have been accused of not playing to Morata's aerial strength, but Azpilicueta delivers a lovely teasing cross just now. The Spaniard, however, has his arms all over Smalling and Mike Dean spots the infringement, awarding the visitors a free-kick inside their own penalty area.
There is a raucous atmosphere at Stamford Bridge on this fine autumnal afternoon. Chelsea are stroking the ball around in midfield, United are sitting deep and inviting pressure.
United start on the front-foot and win a second-minute corner. Mata swings it to the near post but the Blues defence deal with it comfortably enough.
- 1st Half
Chelsea get us underway at a sunny Stamford Bridge.
Right then, there are now only five minutes until kick-off. Who is ready for this one? It feels massive, perhaps even season-defining. A win for Chelsea would not only pile the pressure on title rivals City and Liverpool, but also Jose Mourinho who would have lost four league games. The Red Devils are determined to win a second consecutive game to set them up for the home Champions League match with Cristiano Ronaldo's Juventus in midweek.
On paper, United's defence is clearly a concern.
Mourinho: "For me, it's another game. Would I celebrate like crazy my team's goal at Stamford Bridge or my team's victory? I don't think so.
"I think I would try always to control myself and to respect the stadium and the supporters that were my supporters for many years.
"It's a match I want to do well for my players, for my team, for my supporters. I'm 100% Manchester United - no space for anything more than respect."
On the other hand, Manchester United. Well, where do you start? They have had a difficult start to the season, losing three times and already SEVEN points behind the leading pack. There have been reports that Mourinho fell out with Paul Pogba; earlier this month there were rumours the Portuguese would be sacked and yet he is still hanging on. Last time out United came from behind to beat Newcastle 3-2 with a last-minute winner. Will that Alexis Sanchez goal prove the turning point in the Red Devils' season? Today's match feels massive in terms of Mourinho's short-term future.
Sarri: "I'm very happy with the results but we need to improve, and we can improve.
"We've had no time to work; I had eight players at the beginning of August and now we've started to play every three days so it's very difficult to work, improve the team and improve the players.
"We need to improve our performances in the defensive phase. At the moment we are giving the opponents too many opportunities."
It hasn't been a bad start to the season for Chelsea, has it? Six wins and two draws sees the unbeaten Blues joint top with Manchester City. But who saw it coming? After all, Antonio Conte took the first pre-season training sessions, with Sarri left with little time to work with the players before the season started.
AND A DOUBLE CHANGE FOR UNITED
In defence, where Mourinho just cannot find any consistency, Victor Lindelof comes in to replace Eric Bailly. Juan Mata is rewarded for his fine performance in the stirring 3-2 comeback over Newcastle with a starting role in midfield, with Scott McTominay dropping to the bench.
TWO CHANGES FOR CHELSEA
The biggest talking point is up front where Alvaro Morata is given the nod ahead of Olivier Giroud who drops to the bench. The Spaniard has struggled for goals this season, netting only twice, but Sarri is taking a chance with the former Real Madrid forward this afternoon.
In midfield, Mateo Kovacic is preferred to Ross Barkley.
Man Utd starting XI: De Gea, Young, Lindelof, Smalling, Shaw, Pogba, Matic, Mata, Rashford, Lukaku, Martial.
Subs: Romero, Bailly, Sanchez, Pereira, Fred, Herrera, Darmian.
Chelsea starting XI: Kepa, Azpilicueta, Luiz, Rudiger, Alonso, Jorginho, Kante, Kovacic, Willian, Morata, Hazard.
Subs: Caballero, Fabregas, Barkley, Pedro, Giroud, Zappacosta, Cahill.
