David Silva had a special companion with him ahead of his 250th appearance for Manchester City in the Premier League.
The Spaniard took to the Etihad Stadium turf holding son Mateo, who has faced an extraordinary struggle after being born prematurely at 25 weeks.
He was given a great reception by City fans prior to the clash with Huddersfield Town.
Silva missed chunks of City’s title-winning season to visit his son and partner in Valencia, with Mateo spending five months in hospital after being born in December.
The 32-year-old paid tribute to his club in the docu-series ‘All or Nothing’ before Sunday’s appearance.
Couldn’t agree more.
