Football news - Alvaro Morata starts against Southampton, Alexis Sanchez returns to United bench

Alvaro Morata starts for Chelsea against Southampton on Tuesday evening whilst Alexis Sanchez returns to Manchester United's bench away at Newcastle United.

Morata, 26, has struggled for form since his £60 million move from Real Madrid in 2017 and recently Maurizio Sarri has been using Eden Hazard as a false nine.
However, with Pedro out with a hamstring injury, Sarri is forced to use a central striker with Hazard reverting to the wing.
With Olivier Giroud also missing due to an ankle problem, Morata gets a start leading the line.
Elsewhere, the other surprise is that Mateo Kovacic isn't even in the squad whilst Cesc Fabregas and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are on the bench after injuries.
Callum Hudson-Odoi misses out with a hamstring strain.
Southampton drop Charlie Austin to the bench with Nathan Redmond returning alongside Danny Ings.
Former Blue Oriol Romeu captains the side whilst Angus Gunn makes his Premier League debut on goal.

Sanchez back for United
At St James' Park, Sanchez returns to the Manchester United squad after time on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
He is on the bench alongside Romelu Lukaku with Marcus Rashford fit enough to start after going off injured against Bournemouth.
Antonio Valencia returns and captains the side with Phil Jones and Juan Mata also coming in.
Ayoze Perez starts alongside Salomon Rondon for Newcastle with Christian Atsu also included.
