Juan Foyth put his nightmare Premier League debut behind him as his goal secured a 1-0 win for Tottenham at Crystal Palace.
The 20-year-old endured a torrid evening in Spurs's 3-2 win at Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend, in which he conceded two second-half penalties.
But the young Argentinean defender reacted quickest to head in from close range after Palace failed to clear a Tottenham corner after 66 minutes.
It proved the only goal of the game as Mauricio Pochettino's side cemented their position in fourth place, moving on to 27 points - behind Chelsea and Liverpool on goal difference.
Crystal Palace missed a glorious chance to snatch a draw after Hugo Lloris saved Alexander Sorloth's shot in stoppage time, but they remain in 16th as their wait for a first home Premier League win of the season was extended.
TALKING POINT
Spurs continue their impressive start. It wasn’t all that pretty, but Tottenham have now won five away games in a row in the league and this is their second-best start to a Premier League season. They found a way to win when not at their best and that’s so often said to be a hallmark of the best sides.
Some of the club's more unheralded players have really impressed and if Pochettino can get the likes of Dele Alli and Harry Kane back to their best, the rest of the top six need to watch out.

MAN OF THE MATCH
Lucas Moura (Tottenham). The Brazilian was lively and probably Spurs’ most creative player during his time on the pitch. While he missed a good chance in the first half, he made a goal-saving interjection in his own box and continued the form that has seen him be one of Tottenham’s best players this season.
KEY MOMENTS
13’ – GREAT INTERCEPTION. Townsend gets in behind the Tottenham defence and stands the ball up for McArthur, who heads square to what looks like a Kouyate tap-in, but Lucas arrives at the last minute to make a vital interception. Great work-rate from the Brazilian.
42’ – CHANCE! McArthur gives away possession near his own box and Spurs work the ball to Aurier, who puts in an inviting cross that Lucas, six yards out, puts over the bar.

54’ – CHANCE! Palace have a corner and Tomkins slips away from Alli to have a free header at the back post but then can't hit the target.
66’ – GOAL!Crystal Palace 0-1 Tottenham (Foyth). Kane heads goalwards from a corner, it's blocked and loops up in the air and while the Palace players are all static it's Foyth who reacts quickest to nod home.
84’ – CHANCE! A deflected Van Aanholt cross falls to Townsend in the middle of the box but, after taking it down on his chest, he can't generate enough power on his shot and Lloris is able to catch it.
90+1’ – CHANCE! Palace are presented with an unbelievable chance as a deflected shot comes to Sorloth, eight yards out, and he blasts the ball straight into Lloris!
