Arsenal fear that Hector Bellerin has suffered a long-term injury after Unai Emery said the initial signs were “not very positive” after his substitution against Chelsea on Saturday.

Bellerin’s leg appeared to collapse under him in the second half of the 2-0 win at Emirates Stadium and he went down in evident agony before being stretchered off.
Arsenal have confirmed that the right-back sustained a knee injury and Emery is concerned he will be without Bellerin for a prolonged spell.
“It is his knee and the first prediction maybe can be an important injury,” Emery said in a press conference. “Tomorrow we will speak with the doctor. I hope not, but it is not very positive, our first impression.”
Asked if Arsenal would seek to sign a replacement in the remainder of the transfer window – at a time when serious injuries to Rob Holding and Danny Welbeck have also weakened his squad – Emery pointed instead to internal solutions.
“We have Ainsley [Maitland-Niles],” Emery said.
“He is playing with good pieces, today also he played well I think. He can help us by playing like a right back or a right winger. And also, Lichtsteiner is another player for playing there and I think we have players.
“I don't forget Jenkinson because he is with us, he played some matches and if we need [him], he is okay to help us.”
Emery has already said that Arsenal do not have any money to make signings in January and any new arrivals will be in the form of loan deals.
