The South Korean, the top Asian scorer in Premier League history, has established himself as a key member of Mauricio Pochettino’s squad over the past two seasons.
Son scored twice at the World Cup in Russia, starring in the shock win over Germany that saw the defending champions eliminated.
He will link up with his club team-mates on their pre-season tour of the United States, although he will soon be back on international duty at the Asian Games in August.
The 26-year-old arrived in north London from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015.
