And we're off.
Less than 10 minutes until kick-off now. Can Newcastle secure a league double over Town for the first time since the 1964/65 season?
Huddersfield still need one point to better Derby County’s worst points tally in Premier League history. They last won here on the second weekend of the 2016/17 season - their only win at Newcastle in the last 65 years.
Some quick maths. Newcastle kick off on 25 points, one clear of the relegation zone, and a win would - for the time being at least - move them to 14th. Huddersfield have just a lowly 11 points and are 14 from safety, so will stay rock-bottom whatever happens.
And the Magpies can take confidence from having won the reverse fixture 1-0 thanks to a Salomon Rondon goal.
The Magpies have a chance to win three Premier League home games in a row for the first time since April last year. Burnley and Everton are their next two opponents at St James' Park after today, so that's a real opportunity to put some distance between themselves and the bottom three.
Results went both teams' way last night, with Cardiff City and Fulham both losing, but the early game hasn't followed suit.
Almiron couldn't wish for better opponents to make his full debut against. Huddersfield have taken just one point from their last 13 games.
Newcastle fans get their wish then as Almiron is unleashed for his first start, presumably playing in behind Salomon Rondon. They'll be hoping his spell at St James' Park is more succesful than that of Michael Owen, the club's previous record signing. How quickly he can adapt to the Premier League, having come from MLS, will be fascinating to see and there is an element of a gamble from Newcastle's point of view, given they are in a relegation battle so need an impact now.
The biggest news from the Huddersfield team is that Laurent Depoitre makes his first start since Boxing Day. Jonas Lossl is well again so it's boost to have him back in the team, Philip Billing is only on the bench and there's no sign of Alex Pritchard.
He does. Rafa Benitez makes just one change to the team that drew with Wolves and that sees the club's new record signing, Miguel Almiron, take the place of Christian Atsu, who is on the bench. The fit-again Ki Sung-yueng joins Atsu there.
