What springs to mind when you hear the words ‘world record’ in sport? Usain Bolt’s 9.58 seconds over 100 metres; Neymar’s £198 million move to Paris Saint-Germain; John Isner’s 70-68 final set triumph over Nicolas Mahut at Wimbledon?
Chances are, it’s not the game Hungry Hippos.
But the unavoidably-thrilling pursuit is the subject of a new Guinness world record, courtesy of an unlikely source: Manchester United youngster Axel Tuanzebe.
Tuanzebe cleared the board in just 17.36 seconds to secure his place in history.
There's going to be some serious egos in the United dressing room next season, with Paul Pogba’s World Cup winners’ medal and Tuanzebe’s Hungry Hippos certificate.
