Paul Pogba's agent has hit back at former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes in a war of words over the France World Cup winner's attitude.

Paul Scholes believes Jose Mourinho's style of play or results would not be acceptable to Pep Guardiola if the Spaniard was Manchester United manager.

Scholes - who won 11 Premier Leagues, two Champions League and three FA Cups at Old Trafford under Sir Alex Ferguson - laid into Pogba after United's 3-2 defeat at Brighton in the Premier League on Sunday.
Pogba claimed he had the wrong attitude during the match, prompting a furious reaction from United icon Scholes working as a pundit for Australian TV.
"I hope that is lost in translation. There is no defence for that comment," said Scholes on Optus Sport.
You say it to yourself, don’t you? You’re constantly saying to yourself: ‘Attitude right, make sure it’s right.’ You don’t need other people to tell you. You don’t need a manager to tell you that or your team-mates.
"There's a lack of leaders in the team. We thought Paul Pogba might be the ideal candidate to be that leader but he wasn't there today. He had another really poor game. He's so inconsistent."
Pogba's agent Mino Raiola has been quick to defend his client, who joined United from Juventus for a then world-record £89m under his guidance two years ago.
"Some people need to talk for fear of being forgotten," he said on Twitter. "Paul Scholes wouldn’t recognize a leader if he was in front of Sir Winston Churchill."
"Paul Scholes should become sports director and advise Woodward to sell Pogba. Would be sleepless nights to find Pogba a new club."
