90+3'

FT: Burnley 1-4 Manchester City. As good a City performance as we have seen for some time. With Aguero absent through injury, Jesus stepped up, and some. Burnley had no answer to the champions, who were excellent all over the pitch. Lead just eight points now for one night at least. Thanks for joining us. Goodnight.

90+2'

Jesus still looking for that first hat-trick and running the channels. Looks like he will miss out.

-

Two super, super performances...

90'

Out of nothing, really. The ball broke fortunately for Brady, who rifled home in space. Three minutes of added time here.

89'

GOAL! Burnley 1-4 Manchester City. No clean sheet for City as Brady fires home a consolation for the hosts.

88'

Great feet from Mahrez to work space for the shot before firing into the bottom corner. That is his 50th Premier League goal.

87'

GOAL! Burnley 0-4 Manchester City. Another brilliant, brilliant goal, this time from Mahrez, makes it four.

87'

Hendrick shows all his frustration with a lunge on David Silva to earn himself a yellow card.

86'

Late change for City, with Fernandinho given a break, Eric Garcia coming on.

85'

Angelino almost gets in on the act, but fires wide from the edge of the box.

83'

The game is very much over. City have been too strong for Burnley in all departments.

81'

De Bruyne is the man to make way for City. Another superb display from the Belgian.

79'

Phil Foden is readying to come on, getting an earful from Guardiola before he has even come on!

77'

City are certainly back as they want more here. David Silva tries a flick from a corner that does not come off.

75'

Final change for Burnley as Sean Dyche as McNeil makes way for Robbie Brady.

-

He really has.

73'

A booking shy of suspension, Sterling is saved for the weekend derby clash, with Riyad Mahrez on in his place.

71'

City are playing like champions. Blip over?

69'

Anything De Bruyne can do at the weekend, Rodri can match, it seems. The ball came to him on the edge of the box, on the bounce, with the Spaniard unleashing a ferocious strike past Pope before he could move. Incredible goal once more from City.

68'

Burnley 0-3 Manchester City. WHAT. A. GOAL. A thunderbastard of a strike from Rodri makes it three.

67'

De Bruyne threads a sumptuous pass into the path of Sterling, but the England forward is just offside.

65'

City have again exerted control. Rodri, in particular, has been excellent at keeping Burnley at bay.

63'

A bit of life in Burnley yet, perhaps. Burnley fired a blank at the weekend but they rarely don't score here, with that only the third time in the last year they have failed to do so.

61'

McNeil lines up a free-kick from distance, lofts it over the wall, but Ederson gets everything behind it.

-

In fine fettle.

59'

Double change for Burnley. with Ashley Barnes and Jay Rodriguez on for Wood and Drinkwater.

57'

City really want more here. Walker fizzes one for goal but it is blocked.

-

He is...

55'

CLOSE! Brilliant turn of pace from Jesus to get away from Mee, but the Brazilian can only flash his effort across the face of goal and wide.

53'

As a complete a City showing as we have seen for some time here.

51'

In the absence of Aguero, Jesus is doing the business here. Fine pass from De Bruyne out to Bernardo Silva, who fires a super cross into Jesus, the Brazilian sticks out a leg and diverts the ball into the top corner.

50'

GOAL! Burnley 0-2 Manchester City. It most certainly had been coming, but there is the second from Jesus.

49'

Sterling does well to get to the byline, but his pullback just evades Jesus.

47'

Burnley enjoying some possession at the start of the half here.

45'

We are back up and running here. No changes for either side.

21:04

Rather one sided...

45+1'

HT: Burnley 0-1 Manchester City. As well as City have played in some time, and they really should be further in front. Jesus' goal was sublime in the extreme, but Nick Pope has denied City a second on more than one occasion.

45'

Two minutes of added time here.

43'

CHANCE AT BOTH ENDS! Lennon's cross finds Mee at the back post, he volleys for goal but it hits his own man, Wood, and City clear. De Bruyne races down the left on the counter, feeds it across for Bernardo Silva, who looks odds-on to score, but Pope makes a fine save with his legs to keep his side in it.

41'

Burnley going long and causing City problems at the back. Angelino again looking shaky.

39'

City need a second. They are well on top here, and must make it count, given their defensive struggles of late...

37'

Better from Burnley as Dwight McNeil gets onto the ball and seeks Cork around the back of Walker but the England full-back flicks it out for a corner.

-

Life on the road.

35'

Walker drills another cross into the middle but it is cleared. City all over Burnley here.

33'

WHAT A SAVE! Brilliant centre from De Bruyne, Sterling looks certain to score, but Pope hangs out a leg to make the block from point-blank range.

31'

City are happy to keep possession here. Burnley are well second best.

29'

It's all getting a little tasty. James Tarkowski was entitled to commit to a tackle on David Silva, but the Spaniard does not like it one bit.

-

It really was...

27'

Thankfully for City, De Bruyne seems fine to continue.

25'

There was concern in the build-up for De Bruyne who stayed down after a coming together, but City played on, David Silva fed it wide for Jesus, who waited for his moment, before curling a sublime effort past the despairing dive of Pope. Super goal.

24'

GOAL! Burnley 0-1 Manchester City. There it is! Superb finish from Jesus to break the deadlock.

22'

Sterling looks to jink inside, but again there is a Burnley defender in the way. A goal is coming, surely...

-

The latter is needed.

20'

Burnley are starting to press now. Angelino looks like he is the target.

18'

Sterling has seen very little of the ball but here he shows real pace and intent to cut inside the Burnley penalty area on the left, forcing Ben Mee into an important block.

16'

Early booking here for Bernardo Silva for a cynical foul. His third caution of the season.

14'

Again De Bruyne in the thick of it, with his first-time cross cleared.

12'

Great burst forward from De Bruyne, but his low drilled strike is straight at Nick Pope in the Burnley goal.

10'

Raheem Sterling threads it through for Angelino, but Aaron Lennon does well to make the tackle.

8'

City well on top at the moment as Kyle Walker whips in a cross that is cleared.

6'

NO GOAL! Well-worked corner picks out Angelino, who lashes a volley for goal, Jesus gets a touch, the ball finds the net, but Jesus is adjudged to be offside. Replays show it was the correct call.

4'

Ball ricochets in the direction of Gabriel Jesus, who races clear, Ben Mee does well to get back, but the flag is raised, belatedly, for offside.

-

Unusual move...

2'

Cagey start here, with Burnley not unwilling to leave their foot in...

1'

KICK OFF! We are up and running here on a chilly Lancashire evening.

20:13

One man whose form has not suffered is Kevin De Bruyne. He has been directly involved in more Premier League goals than any other Manchester City player this season (13 - 4 goals, 9 assists). The Belgian is looking to score in three consecutive Premier League games for the first time since October 2015. A big contribution is needed tonight! We are minutes away!

20:06

Elsewhere this evening...

20:01

TROUBLES ON THE ROAD: City are winless in their last two Premier League away games (1-3 vs Liverpool and 2-2 vs Newcastle). Only once under Pep Guardiola have they gone three without a win on the road (February 2018), with the third game in this run coming at Burnley and including a loss at Liverpool.

19:51

HEAD TO HEAD: Burnley have won just one of their 10 Premier League meetings with Manchester City (D3 L6), beating them 1-0 at Turf Moor in March 2015.

19:50

Not ideal preparation...

19:35

BERNARDO IN, DRINKWATER STARTS: Having been below par for much of the contest at Newcastle at the weekend, Pep Guardiola has acted, and made four changes to the side who drew at St James'. Nicolas Otamendi comes in for John Stones while Rodri replaces the suspended Ilkay Gundogan. Bernardo Silva takes his place in the side instead of Riyad Mahrez, while Angelino gets the nod at full-back. The lesser spotted Danny Drinkwater makes his first Premier League start for Burnley and first Premier League start for 21 months. Aaron Lennon also comes in.

Hello and welcome to our LIVE coverage of Manchester City's crucial trip to Burnley in the Premier League. Even at this stage of the season, this is a must-win encounter for City, having lost more ground on leaders Liverpool at the weekend. Burnley are not in good form, either, having lost four of the last six. Turf Moor, though, represents a daunting trip for anyone, and given City's recent jitters, it looks set to be a tough battle. I'm Pete Hall, and I will be bringing you the action, as it happens, live!
