GOAL FOR WEST BROM! Konsa's mistake from Johnstone's long kick lets in Diagne and his shot is deflected in off Mings.

West Brom get the game back underway...

An entertaining first half in the derby, two soft penalties but a lot to like elsewhere.

El-Ghazi dinks a ball to the back post that Watkins heads on target but without any pace on the ball Johnstone gathers comfortably.

Pereira curls a ball towards the back post and sees it come back off the crossbar. He's been the best player by a street here.

Another free kick for West Brom, this time right on the corner of the penalty area.

Wonderful work from Pereira on the by-line before he plays the ball back to the edge of the box where Maitland-Niles' shot is saved by Martinez.

Diagne gets a ball in the box from Pereira but can't get the ball out of his feet to get a shot in.

Bartley goes down after receiving an elbow from Watkins. It looked accidental with the England striker's eyes on the ball.

Pereira almost finds Digne in the area but Konsa clears well.

Fine ball from Targett to the far post that Traore just couldnt direct towards the err...target at the far post.

El-Ghazi shoots firmly from the edge of the box but Johnstone dived to his right and parried away.

So close from Yokoslu, Pereira curls in a lovely cross from a long way out on the left flank which found the Turkish loanee whose header had Martinez beaten but also the far post.

GOAL FOR WEST BROM! Pereira drives the ball above Martinez's dive to his left into the roof of the net.

PENALTY FOR WEST BROM! Maitland-Niles goes down in the area. Another soft decision and maybe clumsy defending to give the player the chance to go over.

The game has settled down now but no sign of West Brom showing the dare to get back into the game.

It is all Villa in the open play, Barkley involved a lot, as is El-Ghazi and Albion not getting to grips with them.

Traore puts the ball across the box with no Villa player in the box but Ajayi, a little rattled, puts the ball behind for a corner.

Pereira's kick curls beautifully over the wall but doesn't dip the requisite yard to go inside the near post with Martinez beaten.

Chance for Albion to get back on level terms as Maitland-Niles is brought down just outside the left centre of the penalty area.

Albion will feel a bit aggrieved, there was very little contact and Barkley was very professional or dived depending on your viewpoint but Ajayi's clumsiness put his side in jeopardy.
