Albion will feel a bit aggrieved, there was very little contact and Barkley was very professional or dived depending on your viewpoint but Ajayi's clumsiness put his side in jeopardy.

Targett's cross is deflected by the lunging Furlong into the arms of Martinez.

Have to say West Brom haven't started with the best intensity.

A rare change of ends from the coin toss. Might be to do with the angle of the evening sun favouring one end.

Olly Watkins was being spoken to by the Villa medical team as he left the field following the warm up but he is expected to be fine to start.

Villa are around 11/10 favourites with bookmakers, a West Brom and the draw around the 5/2 mark. You have to think Albion will be better than they were on Thursday at Leicester.

It goes without saying Albion need a win tonight. After Newcastle and Burnley picked up points in the last week they are ten points - and a huge goal difference deficit - adrift of fourth-bottom Brighton with just six games remaining.

Villa have a change on each other their lines, El Mohamady comes in at full back for Cash, Barkley for Nakamba in midfield and El-Ghazi starts instead of Ramsey upfront.

Two changes for the Baggies today. Ajayi and Gallagher replace O'Shea and Phillips.
