Walker Peters was down receiving treatment for some time for the Saints just then. He has looked very lively. The away side are running out of time to snatch a point here.

Walker Peters rampages at the Liverpool defence. He arrows a low ball into the six-yard box but Phillips is there to make a vital block.

Mane wanders into space on the right side of the area and coolly volleys home Robertson's superb pick-out. Unfortunately for him - and Liverpool - he was in an offside position. Still 1-0.

SOUTHAMPTON CHANGE: Djenepo on for Adams.

Almost a catastrophe for Alisson. He passes the ball straight to Adams but recovers to dive to his right and keep out the striker's low shot.

Salah charges after TAA's probing ball down the right. He sizzles a low cross towards the far post but it's well defended by the Saints.

Diallo lets fly from the edge of the box but Alisson is well-placed to tip it over after a lovely knock down from Obafemi.

What a block from Jack Stephens. He sees the danger and charges back into his own area from the left to throw his body in the way of Salah as the Egyptian looked set to fire home from 12 yards out.

Alisson flies off his line once more to block Obafemi after Adams' angled pass caught Williams out.
