Brentford against Arsenal is only the third ever game in Premier League history to be played on Friday the 13th - the other two games were in April 2001, with Bradford City winning 2-0 against Charlton Athletic and Leeds United beating Liverpool 2-1


Arsenal are without captain Aubameyang and fellow striker Lacazette who are both unwell and will not be available. So the responsibility to grab the goals falls to the exciting Hale End academy graduate Balogun


Arsenal's defence will need to be at their best this evening with the Bee's striker Toney leading the line, he was the top scorer in the Sky Bet Championship last season with 31 goals and even contributed 10 assists


Arsenal's away form on the opening game of the season has been impressive, they are unbeaten in seven games (W5 D2) since losing 0-1 at Sunderland in the 2000-01 campaign. The Gunners began last season with a 3-0 victory away against promoted side Fulham.


It might be Friday the 13th but Brentford will be aiming to break the hoodoo that has seen the nine London teams before them fail to win their first ever game in the competition.


This will be the first league meeting between Brentford and Arsenal since May 1947, a match the Gunners won 1-0 at Griffin Park.


Arsenal will be up against it this evening as Brentford were a formidable force at home last season, amassing a nine-game unbeaten run during the business end of the Championship season
