Hello and welcome to Burnley v Arsenal – a game that, on recent form, may not be brimming on goals but should be big on action. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s lone goal and Burnley’s single point have been the extent of spluttering starts but both will fancy a good result. Turf Moor is hardly the ideal place to go for a struggling side, but Burnley are winless in 12 at home and Mikel Arteta really needs to make sure his team is bagging maximum points. Team news coming your way soon.

Warm up complete, Maxwell Cornet looks set to make an appearance. He receives the orders of the day while he waits for the ball to next go out of play.
53'
Nick Pope has been quick off his line all afternoon and his latest first time clearance almost drops to Barnes. But the ball bounces off him.
51'
McNeil sends Pepe with a shimmy and his effort is deflected for a corner. From which Ben Mee jumps highest but is crowded out by Arsenal's defence.
48'
Lowton wins a corner and the usual melee ensues in the middle. They go short! And it's nicely worked into a chance from 15 yards. Ramsdale is relieved to keep hold of it.
46'
Ben White plays himself into trouble and then has something of wrestling match with Chris Wood. He loses, but Arsenal regain possession.

SECOND HALF UNDERWAY! No changes at halftime from either side. Both teams look comfortable, Arsenal with the ball, Burnley without it. Odegaard's goal is the difference, but Burnley won't feel too disheartened. All to play for .
End of 1st Half
45'+2
Burnley desperate to get level before half time and they over commit down the left wing. The ball comes straight back to them, ending with an Aubameyang shot from the edge of the box blocked, but not by the body part you would have chosen. He'll have the chance to recover, it's the last act of the first half.
45'
New signing Tomiyasu Takehiro fails to deal with a long ball when he had plenty of time. His error gives it straight back to Burnley.
43'
Odegaard once again finds space in the number 10 pocket but finds it shrinking rapidly. Burnley have singled him out as the danger man since the goal. His stabbed pass only meets a claret wall.
41'
For all the bluster about Burnley's physicality, the game has only just started to be slowed down with fouls. Burnley are a hard side, but a fair one. At least at only one goal down.
38'
Ben White fails to spot the danger and the ball falls to Barnes in the middle. It's nipped off his toe and chance is gone.
34'
Burnley were looking more than comfortable before the goal went it. It all stemmed from Pope's punt directly into touch. Odegaard is walking on air since his strike, he struts past two before losing possession.

Burnley win a freekick in line with the Arsenal 18-yard box. It's clipped in before Gudmundsson fires one across the face of goal. It's not quite clear and Burnley think they can bounce right back. They can't, Arsenal get rid.

GOAL! Martin Odegaard stands over the ball and then whisks it - all swirl and placement - into the goal to Pope's right. The keeper was nowhere near. That was a beautiful freekick.

YELOW CARD! A silly foul from Ashley Westwood costs him a yellow card and his team a freekick in a really nice spot.

Was Dyche every going to trial new signing Maxwel Cornet against Arsenal? Probably not, but his flair and speed could really help on the break.
24'
Aubameyang drops deep just to find a little bit of possession. Pepe peels off wide but his cross is low, weak and gobbled up by Pope.
21'
After a sequence of fouls in the middle third, Burnley keeper Nick Pope sends it into the arms of Ramsdale from his own half. Not much in the way of movement from Burnley for him to aim at.
20'
Corner to Arsenal is swung in by Pepe. It crashes of the willing face of the first man. Against a defence this well organised Arsenal need to do much better.
YELLOW CARD! Barnes places his arm across Kieran Tierney's shoulder and into his face. Looks innocuous enough, but a finger in the face is always painful - intentional or not.

Some neat Arsenal possession results in a decidedly scrappy ball over the top. The Burnley defence will eat those up. Nicolas Pepe and Aubameyang have been bystanders so far.
