CHELSEA LOOKING TO GET BACK ON TRACK Hello and welcome to this afternoon's coverage of Chelsea's meeting with Liverpool at Stamford Bridge. Thomas Tuchel's side are looking to salvage their listing title challenge following a disappointing December, while the visitors can leapfrog their rivals and go second with a win.

Having roared into a 2-0 lead through Mane and Salah, Liverpool were counter-punched as the first half drew to a close thanks to a wondergoal from Kovacic and a smart equaliser from Pulisic. Chelsea had momentum behind them going into half time but Liverpool now have space to breathe. As such, the second half is set up perfectly.

Havertz gets in behind on the right but can't quite get a shot away. The ball falls for Mount, but he scuffs his shot and it trickles wide of the upright.

And just like that, Chelsea are level! Rudiger flicks the ball to Kante, who lofts it to Pulisic. He bursts into the box and leathers a shot past Kelleher into the far corner.

What a hit from Mateo Kovacic. Chelsea get one back before half time, Kelleher punching away a free kick only for the Croatian midfielder to curl one in from distance.

A decent spell of possession for the hosts ends with Virgil van Dijk making a timely interception, before he is wiped out by Havertz. Chelsea look increasingly on edge here.

Alexander-Arnold picks out Salah from deep and sends him one-on-one, but Chalobah makes a last-ditch intervention to stop him from scoring again.

Mount and Kostas Tsimikas get in a tangle and the Chelsea midfielder has a little flick out at the Liverpool left-back, but there's nothing in it really and he survives a VAR check.

That is absolutely delicious from Salah. Running onto a through-ball from Alexander-Arnold, he ghosts past Alonso with a clever touch, deceives Mendy and slips in a shot at the near post.

Salah looks to have beaten the offside trap and goes one-on-one with Mendy. The Chelsea keeper makes another impressive save, though the offside flag is raised belatedly.

N'Golo Kante breaks the lines in midfield and picks out Mount on the right, who crosses for Marcos Alonso at the far post. He hits one on the volley, but it sails into the stands.

After a thumping follow-through on Diogo Jota, Pulisic picks up Chelsea's first yellow card of the game.

Mason Mount works an opening in the box, but his shot fails to make it past a coverging mass of red shirts.

Following Alexander-Arnold's mistake at the back, Trevoh Chalobah gifts Liverpool a chance at the other end after his attempted header back to Mendy falls perfectly for Mane. Unlike Pulisic, the Liverpool forward takes his opportunity, lashing the ball into the back of the net.

Trent Alexander-Arnold smashes an attempted clearance into Havertz and watches helplessly as it deflects into the path of Christian Pulisic. He tries to take a touch and go round Caoimhin Kelleher, but Liverpool's stand-in keeper gets down low and nicks the ball off his toe before he can roll it into the net.

Mane breaks clear on the left and whips a cross to the feet of Mohamed Salah, with Edouard Mendy stopping Antonio Rudiger from scoring an own goal as he slides in to intercept. The Chelsea goalkeeper rushed off his line and stood tall, making an excellent save.

Straight from kick off, Sadio Mane catches Cesar Azpilicueta with an elbow to the face and earns himself a booking from referee Anthony Taylor. Tuchel seems to think a yellow card was too lenient a punishment.

The players take the knee, the whistle goes and we're underway at Stamford Bridge.

Of their last five meetings in all competitions, Chelsea have won two, Liverpool have won two and there has been one draw. In other words, it's anyone's guess which side wins this one.

He's also been on media duties, telling Sky: "We don't come here for excuses. We come here to attack the match, we come here with hunger and we come here with the idea to create a final. We are not a team which makes excuses whoever we miss, we have shown that in the past and we want to do everything with the group we have to make it a special game."
