Newcastle United's loss at Aston Villa earlier in the day opened the door in the race for the top four, but Tottenham Hotspur fluffed their lines. They led early on through Heung-Min Son, but Bournemouth rallied superbly as The Cherries battled back to claim a massive 3-2 win in their battle against relegation from the Premier League. Tottenham have a big fight to get in the top four.

'We have to change mindset' - Stellini on Spurs' disappointing home loss to Bournemouth

A late winner from Dango Ouattara saw Bournemouth secure a shock 3-2 win over Tottenham in the Premier League.
Cristian Stellini's side took the lead after 14 minutes and it had been coming. Clement Lenglet picked out Ivan Perisic with a great pass, the Croatian cut the ball back for Heung-min Son who was on hand to rifle home his effort.
Bournemouth responded well to going behind, they upped their intensity and started playing in Spurs' half.
Matias Vina scored his first goal for Bournemouth to draw his side level after 38 minutes. Pedro Porro lost possession outside his own penalty area, Philip Billing was able to pick out Dominic Solanke who laid the ball off into the path of Vina who delicately dinked it over Hugo Lloris and into the bottom corner.
Gary O'Neil's side emerged for the second half in the same fashion as they ended the first and after six minutes they had taken the lead. Davinson Sanchez stuck out a boot but could only divert the ball into the path of Solanke who was on hand to fire past Lloris.
Tottenham thought they had an equaliser three minutes from time when Richarlison netted in acrobatic fashion but it was ruled out for offside.
Spurs did manage to equalise just a minute later when Arnaut Danjuma rifled home an effort from just inside the box to score his first Premier League goal for the club.
That wasn't to be the end of the drama though, Solanke did brilliantly to hold the ball up under pressure before finding Ouattara who was able to curl home a dramatic winner for Bournemouth.

TALKING POINT - A HUGE BOOST FOR THE CHERRIES

Gary O'Neil continued his remarkable work at Bournemouth as The Cherries moved a monumental six points above the relegation zone. The win means it's four from their last six Premier League matches and also the first time Bournemouth have recorded back-to-back victories in the league this season. The manner in which Bournemouth dusted themselves off not just after going 1-0 down but to also do it after conceding an 88th-minute equaliser, is nothing short of admirable and epitomises their new-found never-say-die attitude under O'Neil. Not too long ago they were on a run of one win in 11 matches in all competitions and looked like one of the sides certain to go down but they have completely turned it around.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH - DOMINIC SOLANKE (AFC BOURNEMOUTH)

The 25-year-old was unplayable at times for Bournemouth. He had a hand in all three goals, scoring one and providing great assists for the other two. His composure to control the ball before laying it off to Ouattara at the end was a moment of pure class and his pass into Matias Vina for Bournemouth's equaliser was superb. A really good attacking performance from Solanke and if he can continue in this form Bournemouth will certainly pick up a few more wins between now and the end of the season.
