Fulham have confirmed that Scott Parker has left his role as head coach. The former Cottagers midfielder took over in February 2019 and led the club to promotion to the Premier League. However, they were relegated last season and Parker has now taken over at Bournemouth from caretaker boss Jonathan Woodgate.

Scott Parker has left his role as Fulham head coach and taken charge at Bournemouth.
The former Cottagers midfielder took over in February 2019 and secured promotion to the Premier League in his first full season. However, Fulham finished 18th in the 2020/21 season and were relegated back to the Championship.
A few hours after his Fulham exit was confirmed, Parker was revealed as the new Bournemouth head coach, signing a three-year deal.
He replaces caretaker manager Jonathan Woodgate and brings with him Matt Wells (assistant head coach), Rob Burch (goalkeeping coach), Alastair Harris (head of sports performance), Jonathan Hill (first team match analyst) and Charlie Moore (lead physical performance coach).
Parker told the club website: "I believe this is the perfect fit for both parties. I’m familiar with Bournemouth because of my relationship with Harry Arter. It’s a football club I know well from watching him over the years.
"The ethos, the reputation, the journey and the challenge here is something that’s very exciting for me and my staff. We want to build a team the fans can be proud of and one they feel represents them. We can’t wait to get started.”
Fulham chairman Shahid Khan told the club website: “Through promotion and relegation alike, Scott has always enjoyed my support as our head coach. Scott’s departure does nothing to shake my confidence, however.
“We will hire a new head coach who is capable of achieving our goal of promotion and will be committed to Fulham and its supporters. And we will field a squad that will respond, compete and win. Onward.”
Parker’s former assistant Stuart Gray looks set to be placed in temporary charge.
