Rangers dominated that match, they had countless opportunities to find the back of the net, but Celtic got the job done! As Forster says, they "played terrible football." Rangers will rue this one for a long time. They should have won this match comfortably, but they just couldn't beat Forster. What a performance from the Celtic goalkeeper. It's 10 in a row for the Hoops!

- End of 2nd Half
FULL TIME: Rangers 0-1 Celtic
CELTIC HAVE WON THE 2019 BETFRED CUP FINAL!
Celtic are very nearly there, but Rangers are still coming at them. Tavernier gets the delivery into the box, but Forster comes out and holds on to the ball. Just a matter of seconds remaining.
MORELOS... inches wide! Another glorious opportunity for the Colombian striker! Morelos was played in behind, he spun, he was just about onside, but he lashes his shot inches wide of the far post!
Celtic aren't even attempting to hit out on the counter attack. They are focusing on keeping things tight at the back and plugging the gaps. Rangers are camped in their half.
There is still time for Rangers to find an equaliser, or for Celtic to score a second goal that would really kill the contest. It's Rangers who are on top, but they are getting desperate.
There will be SIX minutes of stoppage time played at the end of the match.
Rangers are peppering the Celtic penalty area with cross after cross, but the Hoops are holding firm. Morelos goes down trying to get on the end of one, but Collum says no penalty. Correct call.
Into the side netting! Tavernier's cross to the near post gets Defoe moving, but he bundles the ball into the side netting. The corner kick comes to nothing and Celtic survive once more.
Arfield skies it! That's an illustration of how Rangers are running out of ideas. The shot was never really on for Arfield there and the midfielder puts his strike waaay over the Celtic crossbar.
- OffFilip HelanderRangers
- OnNikola KaticRangers
Indeed, Helander comes off for Rangers with an injury and Katic comes on.
Ajer and Helander injuries? A centre back on each team has gone down. Ajer seems to have cramp so he should be fine to continue, but Helander is going to have to come off here.
There's a real desperation to Rangers' play now, which is understandable. Celtic, however, have that extra edge and renewed energy since going ahead. They're getting closer.
Controversy! Rangers refuse to give the ball back after Celtic knocked out following the injury to Jullien and Lennon and Kennedy are not happy with Gerrard down on the touchline. It's heating up!
- Yellow cardCallum McGregorCeltic
That was a silly, silly tackle from McGregor on Barker before the injury to Jullien and the Celtic midfielder is shown a yellow card.
Jullien injured? The Celtic centre back has hit the deck holding his ankle. Morelos looked to stamp on the heel of Jullien. That was a naughty one from the Colombian striker. The referee didn't see it.
Edouard has made such a difference since coming off the bench for the Hoops. Celtic look better with the Frenchman and down to 10 men than they did before the sending off of Frimpong.
- OffJoe AriboRangers
- OnBrandon BarkerRangers
Gerrrad makes another change and Aribo is the one who comes off for Barker. He will get he last 15 minutes or so.
- Yellow cardJoe AriboRangers
Aribo was booked for a pretty rash tackle on Hayes a few minutes ago. Sorry, there's a lot going on at the moment.
It's at times like these that the experience of players like Brown who have been here and got the t shirt so many times before becomes additionally important. Celtic have just 15 minutes to get through.
- OffGlen KamaraRangers
- OnJermain DefoeRangers
Here comes Defoe. Gerrard has decided to throw on a second striker to try and make the most of Celtic's man disadvantage.
That's what Edouard offers you as a true centre forward. He has done more in 10 minutes than Morgan did in about an hour on the pitch. Celtic are still up against it, though, being down to 10 men.
That should have been two! What a chance for Celtic to double their advantage! Edouard held up the ball and released Johnston clean in on goal, but the youngster sent his shot wide of the far post when he should have scored!
- OffJames ForrestCeltic
- OnNir BittonCeltic
Lennon makes a change and Forrest comes off for Bitton to solidify things in the centre of the pitch.
This was the drama around the penalty kick!
What an incredible few minutes. First, Celtic take the lead with their first shot on target. Then they are reduced to 10 men and then Forster makes a save to deny Morelos from the spot. Astonishing drama.
- Yellow cardScott ArfieldRangers
Arfield was shown a yellow card in the immediate aftermath of the penalty as frustrations bubble to the surface for Rangers.
This was the opening goal from Jullien for Celtic!
PENALTY SAVED! Incredible! Forster is winning this game for Celtic almost on his own! Morelos' penalty was a poor one and the Celtic goalkeeper dives to his right to make the save and keep the Colombian out!
- Red cardJeremie FrimpongCeltic
RED CARD! It's a double punishment for Celtic as Frimpong is shown a red card for hauling down Morelos. The Hoops will have to play out the rest of the match with 10 men!
PENALTY KICK TO RANGERS! Frimpong pulls back Morelos after a ball bounced off Ajer and Collum points to the penalty spot!
You already get the feeling that the introduction of Edouard has changed the game for Celtic. Rangers now need to score or they will rue all those missed opportunities. Wasteful.
- GoalChristopher JullienCeltic
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Rangers 0 Celtic 1 (60 mins - Christopher Jullien). Can you believe that? Rangers have had countless chances to score, but it's Celtic who have found the back of the net with their first real opportunity! The freekick delivery was a good one and Jullien gets on the end of it to slam a finish past McGregor!
- OffLewis MorganCeltic
- OnOdsonne EdouardCeltic
Right, Lennon has finally thrown on Edouard. Morgan comes off. It was very difficult for him leading the line.
Morelos is growing more and more frustrated and that's when things can get dangerous for the Colombian striker. This is a player with a past record of losing his head in the big games.
Lennon needs to change something here. The introduction of Johnston at half time has done nothing to stem the flow. Rangers have been all over Celtic. How aren't they ahead?
MORELOS DENIED AGAIN! This is becoming ridiculous. Morelos gets on the end of the cross into the box, his header was down and into the ground, but Forster makes the save to deny him AGAIN!
Was that a penalty? Hayes takes down Aribo with a late tackle on the left side. Just moments before Morelos went down inside the box. He believed Brown kicked him in the back of the leg and he might have a case.
Celtic scramble it away! Another glorious opportunity for Rangers as a scramble in the box nearly sees the ball fall to Aribo a few yards out, but Forster pokes it away for a corner kick.
Across the face of goal! Inches away from crossing the line! It just won't go in for Rangers! Tavernier's cross to the back post finds Morelos, he stretches to get on the end of it, but his shot flashes across the face of goal!
Waaay off target! Barisic gets down the outside of Forrest and swings the cross in. The ball falls at the feet of Tavernier just outside the box, but he scoops his strike well over the target.
Johnston has really flourished under Lennon this season. He is a very talented young prospect and Celtic are relying on him to come up big in this second half to change things.
Rangers had countless opportunities to find the back of the net in the first half, but were thwarted by Forster who pulled off a number of exceptional saves. They couldn't find a way past him.
Celtic were toothless in the first half and so it's unsurprising to see a change made. It wasn't just that they were toothless, they were struggling to get out. They had no out ball.
- OffMohamed ElyounoussiCeltic
- OnMikey JohnstonCeltic
As expected, Lennon has made a change at the half time interval and Johnston comes on for Elyounoussi. Will that make a difference for Celtic?
- 2nd Half
The second half is under way! It's still goalless between Rangers and Celtic in this Betfred Cup final.
What did you make of the first half at Hampden Park? Will Rangers rue not taking any of the chances they created? Does Lennon need to make a change to his Celtic side? Tweet me!
- End of 1st Half
HALF TIME: Rangers 0-0 Celtic. Lennon will surely make changes to his Celtic team at the break. Rangers really should be ahead. The Hoops have offered very little when going forward. Will it be more of the same in the second period?
Can Rangers create one last chance before the half time whistle blows? It will be a frustrated dressing room if they can't. It's quite remarkable that they haven't been able to score yet.
There will be two minutes of stoppage time played at the end of the first half.
- Yellow cardGlen KamaraRangers
Finally, the first booking of the afternoon and Kamara is shown a yellow card for fouling Frimpong.
How many more chances?! That should have been the opener for Rangers! Morelos was played clean through, he got the shot away looking for the far corner, but Forster makes ANOTHER save to deny the Colombian!
That was wild from Kent! Rangers came flooding forward on the attack, the space opened up for Kent to get the shot away on goal, but that was wayward from the former Liverpool man.
Jack seems to have recovered well. He is running freely again. This is a player who has had real injury trouble in the past so the worry was that he had picked up another bad one.
We're still waiting for the first yellow card of the match, which is certainly uncommon for an Old Firm derby, but Ajer might be on his last warning after another foul from the Norwegian.
Jack is back on! The Rangers midfielder has received some treatment and has returned to the game, but he's hobbling a bit. The Rangers medical staff are still monitoring him.
This would be a real blow for Rangers, not just in terms of this match, but in terms of their season as a whole. Jack has arguably been the best player in Scotland this season.
What a tackle! Celtic had a four-on-three on the counter attack, but Jack tracked back to make the crucial slide tackle on Morgan. The Rangers midfielder might have hurt himself here. This doesn't look good for him.
Gerrard looks a frustrated figure on the touchline. He knows that his team really should be ahead by now given the number of chances they have had. Celtic have been second best.
You just get the feeling that Morelos is starting to warm to the occasion here. The Colombian was quiet in the early exchanges, but that's three times that he has now tested Forster.
Forster denies Morelos! This is becoming a bit of a duel! Morelos shrugged Ajer off the ball, he looked for an option in the middle, the angle was narrow, but Forster makes the save at his near post from the Colombian!
There was a little shove from Morelos on Frimpong there. The Colombian striker has been much more disciplined this season, but he just needs to keep his head. He was sent off FIVE times last season!
PICTURE: It's been a typically hard-fought encounter so far.
Ajer heads over! That was a chance for the Norwegian centre back. He got above Goldson from a corner kick, but directs his header over the target when he should have at least tested McGregor.
Another Morelos shot! The Colombian striker lines up the strike from 25 yards out, it was heading for the right-hand corner of the Celtic goal, but Forster makes the comfortable stop.
Will Rangers live to rue not taking these early opportunities? They have created two or three good chances to find the back of the net and they haven't managed to break the deadlock yet.
Through Forster! That was close to being the opening goal! Morelos took the shot from a tight angle, there was power on it and it squirmed through Forster, but Hayes makes the clearance from under his own crossbar!
Too heavy! That was a real chance for Rangers to pierce the Celtic defence, but Arfield's pass runs through to Forster when he really should have found the run of Aribo. Too much on the ball.
Hayes gets down the left side and swings a good cross into the middle, but Goldson kept his concentration and made the clearance under pressure from Morgan and Christie.
Of course, Celtic still have the individual quality to win this match even without Edouard, but the likes of Forrest, McGregor and Christie have been kept quiet in the early stages.
Celtic are really missing Edouard. They just don't have an out ball when they are under pressure and that is affecting their play as a whole. Morgan doesn't look comfortable as a lone frontman.
There's no doubting that Rangers have had the better of the early exchanges. They are building momentum. That save from Forster moments ago was unbelievable. Incredible.
JACK... what a save! The Rangers midfielder thought that was heading for the back of the net! Jack caught it flush 20 yards out, but Forster pushed up a hand to make a stunning save! How did he get to that?!
It's been a fast and furious start to the match, and Rangers have had a couple looks at goal, but we're still waiting for the first real scoring opportunity to be created. Both teams going for it.
This was the moment the two rivals walked out at Hampden...
Morelos has scored 25 goals for Rangers so far this season, but the Colombian striker has never managed to find the back of the net against Celtic. Can he break that duck today?
That was a waste from Morgan. The pass was played into the Celtic attacker. He was in no position to shoot, but he attempted the strike anyway and McGregor watches it flash well wide.
Celtic have Ajer and Jullien at the back, but it's Rangers who are winning the aerial challenges at the moment. Lennon surely isn't happy with how his team is being out-fought early on.
It's been a frantic start to this match. Celtic now come forward through Frimpong, but Barisic makes a well-timed tackle on the youngster who has made a real impression for the Hoops in recent weeks.
Arfield attacks a Barisic cross into the middle from the left side, but the Rangers midfielder turns his back on the delivery and Forster can watch the ball bounce harmlessly wide.
Of course, there is very little between these two teams in the Scottish Premiership table (two points) and there's a sense that Celtic and Rangers will go all the way to the wire this season.
Well, there's no doubting who has started the better of the two teams. Rangers have already created a couple of opportunities and Lennon is out on the touchline to berate his defenders.
Another headed chance! Tavernier's freekick is a good one, Goldson once again gets on the end of the set piece delivery, but this time the Rangers centre back heads well wide of the target.
Rangers on the front foot! Morelos wins an early corner kick for the team in blue. The first one is deflected behind for another corner. The second one is headed over by Goldson.
- 1st Half
The match is under way! It's Rangers against Celtic in the 2019 Betfred Cup final at Hampden Park!
Okay, here we go. It's the big one. An Old Firm derby in the Betfred Cup final. There is so much on the line for both teams. We're about to get started. Kick off is just moments away.
This promises to be one of the most memorable Old Firm derbies in recent years. There is so much on the line for both teams.
Not long until kick off at Hampden Park. It is a dreich day in the south side of Glasgow. Windy and rainy. You wouldn't have it any other way.
Of course, this is a chance for Gerrard to lift his first piece of silverware as a manager and an opportunity for Rangers to win their first major trophy since 2011. For Celtic, though, they will want to reaffirm their supremacy having won the last nine consecutive domestic trophies in Scotland.
I'm Graham Ruthven and you can get in touch with me ahead of the match to let me know your thoughts. Who will be a bigger miss - Davis or Edouard? Who will come out on top here? Tweet me!
No Davis! Celtic aren't the only ones without a key player today. Davis hasn't even made the bench for Rangers. That's a big blow to Gerrard. Davis is crucial to the way his team plays. How big a miss will he be?
No Edouard! There were big questions over the fitness of Celtic's French striker and he hasn't made the starting lineup. Edouard is on the bench with Morgan starting for the Scottish champions. Will he or Christie lead the line?
