Lens striker Daniel Cousin has said that he wants to tie up a transfer to Rangers in the coming days.
Lens may ask for £1.5 million for Cousin, 30, a potential stumbling block in the move. However the Gabon international is hopeful that an agreement can be reached.
"I am really excited about this opportunity and all I want to do is get to Scotland and sign for Rangers," he told the Daily Record. "I am ready to go right now, but first the clubs must reach an agreement.
"I hope this can be done very soon and maybe in the next two days I can fly to Glasgow.
"All I want to do is get to Scotland and sign for Rangers."
Cousin only hit four goals in 30 Ligue 1 matches last season, but managed another four in 10 UEFA Cup matches for Les Sang et Or.
He added that he was looking forward to contesting the Champions League under Walter Smith in Glasgow.
"It's so exciting for me because they are a big club and I will have the chance to win trophies and play in the Champions League," he continued.
"I know there are already some French players in the team, guys such as Jean-Claude Darcheville and Brahim Hemdani, and I would like to join them there.
"I feel my style of play would be really suited to Scottish football. If I didn't think I could be a success with Rangers, I would not be so excited about joining them."
