Gretna sign Arsenal keeper

Mannone has been at Arsenal for two years, but is yet to make his first-team debut since signing from Atalanta.

Following a loan spell with Barnsley last season, the 19-year-old is looking forward to joining the SPL new boys in order to build on the two league appearances he made for the Tykes.

He told the Daily Record: "This could be a great opportunity for me to get some first-team football in a competitive league like the SPL.

"I'm looking forward to joining up with Gretna."

The deal could be finalised in time for Mannone to feature in Saturday's pre-season friendly with Darlington.
