The Hoops played two matches in the United States and failed to win either of them, beaten 2-0 by a Major League Soccer All-Star XI then drawing 1-1 with Chicago Fire.
The performances were also widely criticised. However Strachan is upbeat about things as the Glasgow club prepare to face Serie A Parma in Scotland on Sunday, citing the 4-0 hammering at the hands of DC United last term.
"I am happy with the organisation," he told Celtic View. "Last year we had the 'Crisis in July' type of thing.
"After that we went on to win the league and did the double by winning the Scottish Cup. [We also] progressed to the final 16 of the Champions League. So in some way it is irrelevant.
"It is only at the end of the season that you can look back and say, 'yes, that was good' or 'this or that worked for us'."
