Dembele has emerged as one of the most exciting attacking prospects in Europe following his move to Celtic from Fulham.
He scored 32 goals in all competitions last season and recent reports linked him with a move to Premier League side Brighton.
However speaking before the clash against Dundee Rodgers rejected these reports saying that Dembele was very much still a Celtic player.
"I was made aware of that by a family members asking me if it was true or not.
"It was the first I had heard of it and Moussa is very much still a Celtic player.
"With all due respect, Celtic are a club that have good players and at times will lose some of those talented players.

"But at this moment in time the squad is very much in tact and we want to add to it over the course of the January window.
Having said that he also conceded that Celtic would be powerless if a team made a big offer for the French forward.
"But I could never say that someone is definitely going to be here because you could get a ridiculous bid for a player or a situation could arise where they get offered much more in the way of wages and they want to go."
