Striker Ricardo Oliveira has agreed terms with AC Milan after the Serie A giants ditched their attempts to lure Ronaldo to the San Siro. The 26-year-old will undergo a medical before signing a deal that will see him move from la Liga side Real Betis on a
"I am happy to have been signed by such an important club as Milan," Oliveira said on his arrival in Milan on Friday.
The Italian giants have been searching for a replacement for Andriy Shevchenko ever since the Ukrainian left for the Premiership, and the Brazilian fits the bill for coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Oliveira comes to Serie A with form - he finished as la Liga's top scorer during the 2004/05 season. A cruciate ligament injury in November last year set him back, but he was loaned out to Sao Paulo to help his recovery, where he helped them to the final of the Copa Libertadores.
Milan were trying to sign Oliveira's compatriot Ronaldo from Real Madrid, but ended their pursuit of the record World Cup goal-getter on Friday, deeming his price tag excessive.
