Ciro Immobile joins Lazio

The Italian international underwent a medical in Rome yesterday ahead of his move from Sevilla, having spent the second half of last season on loan at Torino.

According to reports, the Stadio Olimpico club are paying €8.5m to secure the 26-year-old’s services on a permanent basis.

This is contrary to previous speculation, which suggested that Immobile would initially arrive on a one-year loan deal.

“SS Lazio communicates that it has signed the player Ciro Immobile on a permanent basis,” a brief announcement on Lazio’s website reads.
