Francesco Totti has 'no problems with Roma’ despite outburst from wife Ilary

Totti's wife, Ilary, hit out at both men today in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, after her husband was dropped by the Giallorossi in February.

However, the legendary forward, who turns 40 tomorrow, has insisted that there are no problems.

"Ilary’s words made me realise even more how a woman who loves you absorbs the problems of her husband and absorbs them," Totti said in a statement released on his Press team’s Twitter.

"I realise how much she suffered with my discomfort last season, but today I want to emphasise that there is total harmony with president Pallotta and coach Spalletti.

"I hold the coach in huge esteem, and I have a frank and open relationship with the president. We’re all aiming for the same goal, which is the good of Roma as I’ve repeatedly pointed out.

"Tomorrow I’ll be celebrating my 40th birthday, and I’ll be happy to do it with my teammates, the Coach, my club, my family and all the fans who follow me on Facebook, where at 8pm I’ll answer the many questions that arrive."
