Best tweets: Fans react to Cristiano Ronaldo's encouraging Juventus debut

Cristiano Ronaldo made his debut for Juventus on Saturday in the 3-2 victory over Chievo Verona and although he didn't score fans were encouraged.

Ronaldo came into the match having only played one pre-season friendly but he still looked sharp and fashioned a couple of chances for himself.

He was denied a first Juventus goal by Stefano Sorrentino, who made a couple of excellent saves to keep the former Real Madrid forward out.

However fans saw plenty in his first appearance to be encouraged for the future.
