The Belgian forward is out of contract in 2020, but knows he could put himself in the shop window at the World Cup finals in Russia this summer.
The 27-year-old Hazard scored 12 times and provided six assists as Chelsea failed to secure Champions League qualification in finishing fifth in the table. It is only the second time in 15 seasons that Chelsea have missed out on Europe's biggest club competition.
It has been a fairly forgettable campaign a season after Antonio Conte's team's won the title.
"I'm waiting for new players next season," said Hazard when quizzed on extending his stay.
"I want good players because I want to win the Premier League next season."
Chelsea lost to Barcelona 4-1 on aggregate in the last 16 of the Champions League in March.
They face Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday as they try to salvage some silverware from their season.
"We're Chelsea. we need trophies at the end of the season," said Hazard. "At the moment we have nothing. We have not qualified for the Champions League. So the season has been bad.
"If we can't be in the Champions League we need the trophy.
"It's up to us to save the season with the FA Cup. I've never won the FA Cup. I hope this year is for me and for Chelsea. We will give everything."
