SETTING THE SCENE

The Shrewsbury players are out for their warm-up.

Jurgen Klopp has recovered from his bout of COVID, and is back on the Liverpool bench this afternoon.

He has handed youngsters Max Woltman and Elijah Dixon-Bonner their first starts for the club.

Shrewsbury may prove to be tough opposition once again for the Reds, as they showed previously. Liverpool have not made it past the fifth round of the competition since 2014-15, but have won nine of their last 10 third-round FA Cup ties.

It will be Shrewsbury's second time at Anfield in three seasons as the Shropshire side took Liverpool to a replay in the 2019-20 FA Cup, eventually going down 1-0 to the Reds.

Steve Cotterill has also named his Shrewsbury side for this FA Cup tie - 5,600 Shrews fans are expected to make the trip to Merseyside today.
