Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will be out of action for four weeks, the club confirmed on Tuesday.
Lloris, 29, was injured during Spurs' season opener against Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday.
The club said on their website: "Following further assessment and scans of the left hamstring injury sustained by Hugo Lloris in the 1-1 draw at Everton on Saturday, we can confirm he is expected to be out of action for around four weeks."
Lloris left the pitch 35 minutes into Saturday's match, when he was replaced by Michael Vorm.
The Frenchman fell awkwardly attempting to save Ross Barley's 17th minute goal.
Spurs' said their medical team would "continue to monitor his progress during his rehabilitation to determine when he will be ready to return to training."
Lloris will miss matches against Crystal Palace, Liverpool, Stoke and Sunderland as the new season gets underway. He could also be a doubt for Spurs' opening game of their Champions League campaign, with the group stage fixture set to take place on either Sep. 13 or 14.
