The 20-year-old, who is on a season-long deal at the County Ground club, equalised in the 63rd minute after collecting a ball on the right. He beat five players as he weaved his way through the Bradford defence and scored with a low, left-foot shot just inside the near post.

"It was a brilliant goal," said Cooper. "The boy has got immense talent and we have got him for the season unless someone comes up with money to buy him from Spurs."

Cooper, who left out Nile Ranger after the former Newcastle striker failed to report for training after Swindon's 3-2 defeat at Brentford on Boxing Day, said: "We like to pass the ball and I thought our first-half performance was outstanding. With a bit more quality I think we could have won the game quite comfortably.

"You know you have got to defend crosses and cope with the physical side of the game when you come to Bradford and I thought we did that very well. We didn't play as well in the last 20 minutes, but we are young and energetic, we keep going and our defence looked really solid."

Bradford led at half-time with a goal after 16 minutes from defender Rory McArdle following skipper Gary Jones' corner from the left. The Northern Ireland international scored with a header that went into the net off the underside of the crossbar.

Both sides went close to snatching a winner in a frantic final 25 minutes as Swindon goalkeeper Wes Foderingham did well to keep out a volley from substitute Nathan Doyle in the 82nd minute, while at the other end Jon McLaughlin made an equally good save to deny Robins sub Miles Storey in stoppage time.
