Football news - Arsenal 'set to sign £11m MLS star Miguel Almiron in January'
Arsenal appear poised to make a January signing with Paraguay and Atlanta United star Miguel Almiron reportedly on his way to Emirates Stadium.
Atlanta president Darren Eales reportedly confirmed the playmaker is heading to the Premier League with widespread suggestion that is Arsenal who have clinched Almiron’s signature.
“Almiron’s future is already decided and will go to England in the European winter market,” Eales told FOX Deportes.
Almiron, who has 12 caps for his country, joined Atlanta from Lanus in 2017 and was named Newcomer of the Year in MLS.
It is said that Arsenal will pay £11m for a player who would seem to be a possible replacement for Aaron Ramsey, who is running out of contract.
However those quotes have since been disputed, with reports out of Atlanta and America saying that they are not true.
