23:00 - Baggies train sights on Diagne

West Brom boss Sam Allardyce is looking at Galatasaray striker Mbaye Diagne.
The Baggies are keen to strengthen a number of areas of their squad, including the forward line.
Newcastle's Andy Carroll had been targeted, but that move looks unlikely to happen and Sky Sports says Senegal international Diagne is a potential option to arrive on loan.

22:20 - Feyenoord land Balde

Feyenoord have reportedly won the race for vaunted Senegal teenager Aliou Balde.
De Telegraaf is claiming that the Dutch club have beaten off competition from Borussia Dortmund and a host of French clubs to the signature of the 18-year-old winger.

21:45 - Meyer makes Palace exit

Max Meyer is on the lookout for a new club after leaving Crystal Palace.
The midfielder arrived at the club in 2018, but the Eagles said on Friday he had departed by mutual consent.
Bundesliga side Cologne were linked with the German earlier in the month.

21:00 - Ighalo has Premier League options

Odion Ighalo will have options in the Premier League when his loan deal at Manchester United expires.
The Nigerian forward's loan stay at Old Trafford from Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua concludes at the end of this month and his agent has been fielding offers.
"I can confirm that some Premier League clubs, two teams outside of England and some clubs in the Middle East have made formal enquiries," one of his representatives told BBC Sport Africa.

20:15 - Gyokeres swaps Brighton for Coventry

Coventry City have signed Swedish striker Viktor Gyokeres on loan from Brighton.
The 22-year-old has made the move until the end of the season, with Sky Blues boss Mark Robins hopeful his power and pace and will be an asset in the Championship.

19:40 - Carvalho 'committed and focused' on Betis

Manuel Pellegrini feels William Carvalho is fully committed to Real Betis amid transfer links with Benfica.
The Portuguese midfielder is heading back towards full fitness and Pellegrini feels he will play a big part in the second half of the season.
"I see him as absolutely committed and focused on the team," Pellegrini said via Marca. "I don’t see that he any intention or desire to go.”

19:00 - Inter's Esposito joins Venezia

Inter Milan forward Sebastiano Esposito has ended his loan at SPAL to move to Venezia until the end of the season.
The 18-year-old did not have the impact he hoped at SPAL, and has swapped Serie B clubs for the remainder of the campaign.

18:25 - Neto asks to leave Barcelona

Neto has asked Barcelona to let him leave the club in the January transfer window.
The goalkeeper has been linked with Arsenal, who are reportedly in talks with Barca over a loan deal.
According to As, Neto has asked Barca to find him a route out of the club. The Catalans would prefer a permanent transfer as opposed to a loan, and are waiting to see if other bidders come forward before the end of the transfer window.

18:00 - Clemens and Cologne part ways

Cologne and Christian Clemens have parted company, with the forward dropping down a division to join Darmstadt.
The 28-year-old’s contract was due to expire in the summer, but with no prospect of a renewal and little playing time likely in the second half of the season he has moved in search of regular football.
"Even though my path at FC ends now, I've had a lot of great years here that are associated with very fond memories,” he told the club’s official website. "FC will remain in my heart and soul.”

17:30 - Martel swaps Leipzig for Vienna

Defender Eric Martel has swapped RB Leipzig for a loan move to Austria Wien.
The teenager is looking to accrue some regular game time and will get an extended chance in Austria after signing an 18-month deal until the summer of 2022.

17:00 - City among those monitoring Locatelli

Manchester City are one of a number of clubs looking at Manuel Locatelli, although the Sassuolo midfielder is only likely to be available at the end of the season.
Recent reports claim city view Locatelli as the long-term successor to Fernandinho, but the player's agent has played down the chances of his client making the switch to the Etihad Stadium this month (via Calciomercato).
It makes sense that City are looking to identify a long-term replacement for Fernandinho. The Brazilian is still so important to Pep Guardiola, but is now well into the twilight of his career. In truth, they probably should have found his successor before now.

16:30 - Arteta coy on Ozil exit rumours

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has stayed coy on reports and rumours that Mesut Ozil is set to end his first team exile in North London by signing for Fenerbahce.
Ozil hasn't played a single game for the Gunners this season and with his contract up at the end of the season widespread reports claimed the German was on the brink of making a January move to Turkey.

"Well, I don't know how close he's been before," Arteta said when asked whether this is the closest Ozil has been to leaving Arsenal.
"There are some conversations going on with [technical director] Edu and the club at the moment, but nothing concrete yet."
Clearly this is a situation that just needs to end for all concerned. Ozil needs to get out of Arsenal and Arsenal need him to leave so they can focus on other things. And so Arteta doesn't have to field questions on the German every week.

15:55 - Guardiola hopes Garcia doesn't leave City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says he hopes Eric Garcia stays at the Etihad Stadium amid continued speculation of a move to Barcelona.
Garcia is out of contract at the end of the season and is widely believed to be close to signing a pre-contract agreement with the Catalan club where he came through the youth academy as a teenager.
The 20-year-old has only started two Premier League games so far this season, but Guardiola insists he wants the player to stay at City.
"I hope not, but maybe Barcelona knows better than me, I don’t know," Guardiola said when asked if a deal with Barca was in the offing.
"I don’t know what's going to happen, but maybe it's going to happen."

15:10 - Mourinho opens up on Bale's future

Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho insists no discussions have taken place with Gareth Bale over extending the Welsh winger's stay in North London.
Bale is on a season-long loan from Real Madrid, but has an option in his contract that would allow Spurs to keep the winger for a second season.

The 31-year-old has struggled to force his way into Mourinho's first team this season, but the Portuguese remained coy on whether Bale will return to Spain this summer.
"There was not even a second of discussion about that," the Tottenham Hotspur manager told reporters.
"Gareth is a player on loan until the end of the season. We are speaking about Gareth himself, Tottenham, Real Madrid. But I promise you, not one second of discussion."
Bale's return to Spurs hasn't quite worked out as planned. His fitness has been a bigger issue than many anticipated. While Real Madrid are paying some of Bale's wages, is it really worth it for Tottenham to keep him around?

14:45 - Bayern Munich target Militao to replace Alaba

Bayern Munich have identified Eder Militao as a potential replacement for David Alaba should the Austrian leave the Bavarian club at the end of the season.
Alaba is out of contract this summer and has attracted interest from a number of suitors including Chelsea, Liverpool and Real Madrid.

According to Goal, the reigning German and European champions are already looking ahead to find a replacement for Alaba and are looking at Militao.
The Brazilian centre back has dropped down the pecking order at Real Madrid this season after a series of error-strewn performances, but there is still a player of great natural ability in there.

13:50 - AC Milan want triple signing

AC Milan are hoping to pull off a triple signing this month to push them closer to securing their first Serie A title in over a decade.
Euro Papers runs through some of the current transfer talk around the San Siro club, with Chelsea's Fikayo Tomori on their radar for a January move.

Torino midfielder Soualiho Meite is also believed to be close to signing for AC Milan with free agent Mario Mandzukic also a potential target.
It's not surprising AC Milan are looking to shore up their squad. They have a real chance of winning the Scudetto this season and have some gaps to plug in their squad.

13:25 - Ajax have no interest in Alderweireld

Ajax manager Erik ten Haag insists the Dutch club has no current interest in signing Toby Alderweireld despite speculation to the contrary.
Recent reports claimed the 31-year-old could be on his way back to the Netherlands with PSV Eindhoven also believed to be interested in the Belgian defender.

However, ten Haag has poured cold water on such suggestions, although he admitted Ajax still maintain contact with Alderweireld.
“We have good contact with Alderweireld, but we have no concrete interest," the Ajax boss told Voetbalzone. "We are in constant contact. Marc maintains close contacts with all players who have left Ajax, just look at [Davy] Klaassen. At the moment that is not the case."

12:30 - Nice president plays down Lingard rumours

Jesse Lingard is widely believed to be available this month, with the midfielder struggling for game time at Manchester United, but a move to Nice seems unlikely.
The England international had been linked with a move to the Ligue 1 club, but the Nice president has poured cold water on those suggestions.

"We have seen a lot of names appear in the press without any merit," Jean-Pierre Rivere told Nice-Matin (via Sport Witness). "Our goal is to get our entire squad back together and we all aim to have a good second part of the season.
“No, that won’t be the case [expecting a big transfer in the winter market]. The context is totally inappropriate.
“We know that the winter transfer window is very special and difficult. We had the opportunity to bring in William Saliba and we are delighted.”
There's no doubt Lingard needs a move away from Old Trafford to get his career back on track. Jose Mourinho always got the best out of him. Does he need a new English attacking midfielder to replace the English attacking midfielder he already has but doesn't want?

11:50 - Poch wants Upamecano at PSG

Mauricio Pochettino wants Dayot Upamecano at Paris Saint-Germain as the former Tottenham Hotspur boss makes his mark at the Parc des Princes.
Dean Jones exclusively reports the RB Leipzig centre back has emerged as a key target for the new PSG manager although there will be stiff competition for the Frenchman.
A €42m release clause in Upamecano's contract will become active this summer, with Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid all linked with the player.

RB Leipzig are not prepared to let Upamecano leave in the January transfer window, but a race to sign the 22-year-old will likely be sparked in the summer.
Jones also reports PSG are monitoring Sergio Ramos' situation, with the veteran defender out of contract at Real Madrid at the end of the season.

11:25 - Fiorentina want Odriozola

Alvaro Odriozola has struggled for game time at Real Madrid this season and now it seems the Spanish right back could be on his way to Italy.
Gianluca di Marzio reports Fiorentina are interested in signing Odriozola who they hold a long-term interest in after trying, and failing, to sign him from Real Sociedad.
It's a mystery that Odriozola has received so little game time at Real Madrid this term. Zinedine Zidane has been using Lucas Vazquez, a winger, at right back. What is it about Odriozola he doesn't like?

10:55 - Chelsea make contact with Upamecano

Chelsea have made contact with the representatives of Dayot Upamecano over a potential move for the highly rated RB Leipzig central defender.
SportBILD journalist Christian Falk claims the Stamford Bridge club have contacted Upamecano's agents amid plenty speculation around the French centre back's future.
Upamecano has been the subject of interest from Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid, but the Blues have made the player a priority target.
Of course, Upamecano would significantly improve Chelsea's defence, but the Frenchman might have more attractive options in the summer window.

10:30 - Bournemouth open talks with Wilshere

Jack Wilshere has been thrown a route back into football by Bournemouth who have opened talks with the former Arsenal midfielder.
The 29-year-old has been without a club since departing West Ham United earlier this season, but has been training with Bournemouth for the last few weeks.
The Daily Mail claims the Cherries have now opened talks with Wilshere with a view to signing the midfielder as a free agent until the end of the season.
Wilshere's natural ability has never been in doubt, but Bournemouth have been here before. They signed the midfielder on loan from Arsenal for the 2016/17 season only for Wilshere to struggle with injury. Do they really want to go down this route again?

10:10 - PSG determined to secure Dele on loan

Paris Saint-Germain really, really, really want to sign Dele Alli on loan from Tottenham Hotspur this month despite the North London club making clear they don't want the midfielder to leave.
The Guardian reports Mauricio Pochettino has told th PSG hierarchy that he wants Dele to be signed on loan this month with the Argentine keen to be reunited with his former Spurs player.

Of course, Dele has struggled to make much of an impression on Jose Mourinho this season. It seems strange to have such a high quality player being so under-utilised.
Much of this sage depends on whether Daniel Levy can persuade Mourinho to drop his personal feud with Dele much like he did with Tanguy Ndombele in the summer. If he can't do that then he might as well let Dele leave to boost his value as an asset again.

09:45 - Everton to sign Zirkzee on loan

Everton are close to signing striker Joshua Zirkzee on loan from Bayern Munich for the rest of the season according to talkSPORT.
Anyone who plays Football Manager will know of Zirkzee's potential and now it appears the Toffees have managed to lure the Dutch teenager to the club for the second half of the season.
talkSPORT claim Everton are signing Zirkzee with a view to a permanent deal. Given the 19-year-old's potential, this seems like a good piece of business by the Toffees.

09:20 - Spurs eye bid for South Korean defender

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to reignite their interest in South Korean defender Kim Min-jae having been initially interested in the player during the summer.
The Mirror claims Spurs could make a bid for the 24-year-old this month amid claims Chelsea could enter the race to sign the highly-rated centre back.
Min-jae's contract at Beijing Guoan is set to expire at the end of 2021 and so the Chinese Super League club might be prepared to cash in on one of their prize assets.
While Tottenham signed Joe Rodon in the summer, there is still a sense that lack the defensive solidity required to play the way Jose Mourinho wants. Min-jae could be the player they need.

09:05 - Tomori a 'very serious' option for AC Milan

Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori is edging closer to a deal that would see him join Serie A leaders AC Milan for the rest of the season.
Tomori, who has struggled for game time at Stamford Bridge this season, has been linked with a number of clubs this month and now Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano claims the 23-year-old is close to making the switch to Italy.
It's believed Tomori would like to make the move to the San Siro if the two clubs can come to an agreement. Romano claims a purchase option could be included in the loan deal.
Italy has become the place for washed Premier League stars to rediscover themselves and while Tomori might not be washed up at just 23, Serie A could be the ideal destination for him to fulfil his potential.

08:45 - Good morning!

Good morning transfer party people. The transfer window king (well maybe prince compared to Fabrizio Romano) Graham Ruthven will be here at 09:00 to take you through the day's reaction.
However why don't we start with the 'lion', that's right Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swedish superstar has been talking to Corriere dello Sport about his future.
"I'll decide my future at the end of the season with AC Milan.
As long as I feel good on the pitch, I keep playing.
"Donnarumma? He's the best goalkeeper in the world, it's not normal that he has never played a Champions League match."
