Croatia v Denmark LIVE - Luka Modric and Christian Eriksen start as both sides battle for top spot

Kramaric tries to fashion a couple of crosses from the right, one is cleared before the other is overhit and trickles out for a goal kick.

Honours even at the break after a 45 minutes of few oppourtunities. It's there for the taking! All square.

This is more encouraging from Denmark. Eriksen shifts his body from left to right and gets his foot behind a lethal strike, but it's straight at Livakovic who beats it out for a corner.

He comes miles off his line to head clear a hoofed Croatia ball. There were Croatia forwards lurking but he was first to it!

He's made two fouls in as many minutes as is cautioned.

Maehle breaks through the Croatian defence and tries to poke an effort underneath Livakovic from a tight angle, but the goalkeeper gets on top of it to keep it out.

The hosts half-claim for a penalty as Perisic's cross strikes the arm of Andersen, but they were only inches away from each other. Nothing given, and rightly so.

Kovacic puts in a great ball and Sutalo gets a decent connection on it, but it's wide of the post. Schmeichel let that go very early, and was lucky that didn't creep in!

He probably should have done better there. He strikes from outside the box but doesn't hit the target, despite finding a bit of room to compose himself and pick a spot.

He chests a cross back to Livakovic as Braithwaite lurked inside the six-yard box.

Modric, Perisic and Kramaric are involved in a great passage of play before a cross is crossed in towards the back post, which Denmark get clear, but only as far as Kovacic who gets his shot on the edge of the box all wrong.

He drives down the left flank and looks to tee-up a shot for Pasalic, but his effort is cut out.

The Man Utd man whips in a delicious ball deep into the Croatian box but it's headed clear.

After a jittery opening few minutes the Dane's have been able to get a feel for the ball as they slowly begin to string a few passes together.

They've been getting forward and applied pressure on the Danish defence three or four times already. This time Perisic looks to deliver a cross but it's in Schmeichel's range who collects comfortably.

It's sloppy from Denmark, they give the ball away and Brozovic has acres the pull the trigger just outside the box but skewes his effort wide.

He goes on a mazy run on the right flank and looks to poke the ball beyond Chistensen in the box, but the Barcelona man does just enough to see the ball behind for a corner.
