PENALTY APPEAL?
Kehrer goes down on the right-hand side of the penalty area after it looked like Sterling pulled his shirt. The referee, however, does not look remotely interested.

ACROSS THE FACE OF GOAL
England win two successive corners after that, and the second one sees Kane try to go for goal from inside the area on the right-hand side, but his audacious effort towards the top corner flashes across the face of goal and goes wide of the far post.

BIG SAVE FROM TER STEGEN!
Sterling is denied a goal here! Shaw plays a beauty of a through ball from deep on the right-side, which completely takes out three Germany players before finding Sterling in the box.
He does well to check back onto his left foot, but his eventual shot is saved well by Ter Stegen, who gets down low off his line to tip it away for a corner!

GERMANY BREAK!
James gives the ball away cheaply in the final third, and England are caught on the counter! Musiala feeds the ball out to Hofmann on the right flank, and the winger runs a good 30-yards down the line before picking out Havertz at the far post, but the forward cannot quite pick out a team-mate.

ENGLAND ALMOST CAUGHT OUT AGAIN!
Germany are pressing high inside the penalty area, and Stones almost produces a moment of insanity with a back pass towards Pope without looking up as Hofmann almost gets in to intercept and tap the ball into the net! Pope eventually hacks it clear in the nick of time.

FREE-KICK COMES TO NOTHING FOR GERMANY
Germany win a free-kick in a dangerous position just outside the penalty area. Gundogan and Sane stand over it.
Sane opts to take but his effort is poor and it goes straight into the wall.

ENGLAND CLEAR
Germany have a corner, which Kimmich floats towards the pack post. Schlotterbeck gets the flick on, but Bellingham just about does enough to get his head on it. Sterling is eventually the one who hacks the ball upfield to clear.

ENGLAND ALMOST CAUGHT OUT!
Nick Pope almost gifts Germany! A routine pass out the back from the goalkeeper is poor after a very heavy touch, as Musiala forces the mistake after closing down. Gundogan intercepts the pass and has a go from just outside the penalty area, but his shot from distance just goes over the bar!

ANOTHER ATTEMPTED ENGLAND COUNTER
Stones plays a nice through ball from deep towards Sterling, as Germany look open at the back, but the winger cannot control the pass and the opportunity is gone.

POOR CROSS!
England break and are three on three with Foden picking up the ball just past the halfway line. Kane drifts out to the right to pick up the ball, but his resulting cross towards Sterling in the centre of the box is poor and it goes out for a Germany goal kick. The first bit of attacking impetus so far.

NO CHANCES OF NOTE SO FAR
Both sides are looking comfortable on the ball, but there has yet to be a shot on goal.

ENGLAND UNBEATEN IN LAST TWO MEETINGS AGAINST GERMANY
The title is self explanatory - England have not tasted defeat in the last two matches against Die Mannschaft.
Their previous encounter in Group A3 ended in a 1-1 draw at the Allianz Arena, with a late Harry Kane penalty securing a point for the Three Lions.
The match before that was the famous meeting between the teams at the European Championships, which England won 2-0 in the Round of 16.

TUMULTUOUS PERIOD FOR ENGLAND
For England, the side are on their worst run of form for eight years, with manager Gareth Southgate under pressure for the lack of positive results and performances in recent showings.
The Three Lions are without a goal in 450 minutes of open play - a statistic which is damning as the only other side to not score in that scenario in the Nations League are San Marino.
Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire starting again is likely to raise more questions than answers for the England fans, but the team will need the backing from the sellout Wembley crowd tonight if they aim to get a good result and end this international break on a high.

BOTH SIDES COME INTO THIS OFF A DEFEAT
Both teams are playing for pride tonight in what is the last competitive fixture for the two sides before the World Cup in November.
Germany missed out on top spot in Group A3 as they went down 1-0 to Hungary last time out, and England were relegated to League B after a narrow defeat to Italy by the same scoreline.
