24'
CHANCE!
Dabritz slides a nice pass through to Gwinn, whose first touch sees her drive into the right of the area. She shoots, but the angle is tight and it doesn't go close.
22'
PASS, PASS, PASS...
Germany are just dominating this, and Finland are really struggling down the right. Huth is the latest to cut through and get a cross in, but she lofts it straight out for a goal kick.
19'
ANOTHER SHOT
Dabritz gets a shooting chance from 15 yards out, but it's a tame effort and Talaslahti gathers comfortably.
18'
PATIENCE
Germany build up a long move down the right again, and eventually spring Gwinn free. She makes it to the byline, but overruns the ball and it's a goal kick.
14'
A MATTER OF TIME?
Germany again pile forwards down the right, this time through Huth, but again Finland scramble the ball out of their area. Germany are all over them so far.
13'
PINBALL WIZARDS
From another German corner the ball ricochets around wildly, with Talaslahti scrambling and out of position. Eventually it falls to Kleinherne on the edge, but her speculative whack flies over.
12'
CLOSE
Germany work a very slick move through their front three and get Buhl through into the area, but Koivisto slides in superbly to hook the ball out for a corner.
10'
OUCH
Gwinn gets a scrape of studs over the top of her foot from Kollanen, and goes down. It was a bit late, but there's no yellow.
8'
ANOTHER CORNER
Germany work a short free kick to Buhl on the left, and her subsequent shot is deflected behind for another German corner. Buhl is all over this so far.
6'
FIRST SHOT
Dabritz works a sweet one-two with Buhl on the edge of the area. She hits the return ball first time, but it sails high over the bar.
5'
LONG BALL
Finland try a long one to Sallstrom, but it skids away on this heavily-watered surface and goes behind for a goal kick.
3'
DANGEROUS CROSS
Buhl finds room on the right and whips a dangerous ball to the six-yard box. It clears everyone at the front post before Pikkujamsa puts it behind for a corner.
1st Half
1'
CHANCE!
Germany are almost off to an absolute flier, as a deep cross finds Popp eight yards out. It's a clean look, but her header is high and wide by a yard. That's a big chance, even this early.
20:00
THE KNEE
Both sets of players take the knee before we start; there is no room for racism.
19:58
TIME TO GO
That's the anthemics done, time for kick-off. Our referee tonight is Emikar Caldera.
19:54
HERE THEY COME
The Finns stride out first, the Germans second. There's another sizeable crowd out there and it's a baking evening in Milton Keynes.
19:49
ELSEWHERE...
There's a fair bit on the other match in the group tonight too. Over in Brentford there's a win or bust game between Denmark and Spain for the right to face England in the last eight, and we'll keep you up to speed with events there.
19:45
NINE TIMES?
Germany's record in this tournament is staggering. They've only lost three of their 42 matches at the Euros, and have won eight of the last ten tournaments. Crikey. They've been impressive so far, particularly in their containing of the multi-talented Spanish team on Tuesday. A good bet to go the distance, I'd say.
19:39
THE GERMANS SO FAR
Germany have won this tournament a whopping eight times, and it’s been business as usual for them so far here. They dealt with two handy sides in Denmark and Spain comfortably and have waltzed through to the quarters with a game to spare.
19:35
THE FINNS SO FAR
Finland were semi-finalists in their first ever Euros in 2005, but it’s been diminishing returns since then. They made the perfect start to this campaign, ahead in under sixty seconds against Spain, but slipped to defeat there and also to Denmark on Tuesday.
19:30
GERMAN CHANGES
There are changes for Germany too, with Felicitas Rauch and Lena Oberdorf both suspended and Lina Magull and Sydney Lohmann left out. Into the team come Sophia Kleinherne, Sara Doorsoun, Lena Lattwein and Linda Dallmann.
