Chelsea ladies face an uphill battle to reach the Champions League last eight after losing 2-1 at home to Wolfsburg in their first leg meeting in Staines.
An unfortunate own goal by Claire Rafferty after three minutes presented the German side with the lead.
Babett Peter found the equaliser with another own goal before sub Caroline Graham Hansen sealed the win for the two-time Champions League winners with the clincher on 78 minutes.
Chelsea must score twice in Germany on November 18 to survive in the tournament.
