FULL-TIME! Germany record their third victory in Group D with a comfortable 2-0 triumph over Northern Ireland. First-half goals from Julian Draxler and Sami Khedira proved to be the difference in the end.
Three minutes of added time to play at the end of this one. Germany win a corner as they continue to search for a third goal.
Germany remain in complete control of possession as the time ticks closer to full-time.
Fantastic fans who are intent on having a good time, no matter what the result is...
WIDE! Khedira, who has multiple opportunities to find his second of the evening, once again sees his shot drift wide of the goal, this time from around 25 yards.
Who is winning this match? Listening to the fans, it is difficult to tell. The Northern Ireland supporters are singing their hearts out with the old familiar song 'Will Grigg's on fire'. The Wigan striker isn't even here....
MISS! Gundogan somehow fails to extend Germany's lead as he shoots off-target from inside the penalty area, despite having time to pick his spot.
Northern Ireland can only partially clear the corner and the loose ball falls to Mustafi but the Arsenal man is off balance and can't find the target.
Gotze cuts in from the left channel and fires a shot to McGovern's near post but the goalkeeper does well to get down and make the save. The hosts have a corner now...
Finally, Lafferty makes his way onto the pitch. The Norwich City man scored twice and set up a goal in 20 minutes as a second-half substitute against San Marino last time out... can he make a similar impact here? Not likely, but the Northern Ireland faithful would absolutely love it.
WOW! In other Group D news, San Marino have equalised against Norway... in Norway! The minnows just happen to be Germany's next opponents.
- Yellow cardShane FergusonNorthern Ireland
Ferguson is shown the first yellow card of the night and rightly so... he catches Kimmich with a late tackle on the touchline.
- OffOliver NorwoodNorthern Ireland
- OnPaddy McNairNorthern Ireland
Michael O'Neill makes his second change of the match... but still Kyle Lafferty remains on the bench.
Northern Ireland venture forward for the first time for a while through Hodson on the channel but the full-back's cross is too close to Neuer who collects easily.
- OffJérôme BoatengGermany
- OnShkodran MustafiGermany
Joachim Low makes his second change of the game.
MISS! The unmarked Khedira somehow misses from six yards out as his header is sent over the bar!
Kroos is the latest player to try his luck with a shot from long range but again, it's not troubling McGovern.
Boateng fires into the stands from distance. The home side are finding too much space in midfield at the moment but are finding it difficult to breach the defence.
Free-flowing Germany move the ball into the visitors penalty area with ease as the full-back Kimmich collects but his shot is blocked before it can reach McGovern's goal.
Germany have had 68% of the possession thus far and have looked even more comfortable on the ball since the restart.
- OffJamie WardNorthern Ireland
- OnNiall McGinnNorthern Ireland
Michael O'Neill makes his first change of the match.
Niall McGinn is preparing to come on for Northern Ireland.
PENALTY APPEAL! Kimmich is released into the penalty area but falls to the ground under the challenge of Ferguson. Penalty? The referee says no and looking back on the replay, he's probably right not to award a spot-kick.
WIDE! Wave after wave of attack now from the Germans. Khedira opts to shoot from 25 yards but it's off target.
Germany are piling on the pressure at the moment!
CHANCE! Boateng delivers a lovely chipped pass into the penalty area for Gotze who tries to find Muller in the six-yard box with a header but Hodson is alert to the danger and clears.
Germany are throwing men forward in search of another goal. The full-back Hector, on the overlap, has space to deliver a cross into the penalty area and Norwood has no choice other than to head the ball out for a corner.
The unmarked Khedira is able to connect with a cross inside the area but it's sent straight at McGovern.
Northern Ireland are camped inside their half as Germany continue to probe in search of a third goal which would surely kill the match as a contest.
BLOCK! Hughes is in the right place at the right time to get in front of Gundogan's spectacular volley inside the penalty area.
The corner is cleared at the near post... the loose ball is sent back into the penalty area but the Germany defence play the visitors offside.
Much better from Northern Ireland as Ward forces a corner immediately after the restart following good work from Davis.

GERMANY SUB: The home side make a change at the break with one Premier League player replacing another...
- End of 1st Half
HALF-TIME! There is no additional time played at the end of the first-half. Germany lead by two goals, Draxler breaking the deadlock and Khedira doubling the advantage. A lot of work for Northern Ireland to do in the second period...
Neuer is fouled inside the penalty area as the corner is delivered and Germany have a free-kick
A cross is fired in from Khedira but Jonny Evans does well to head clear at the near post. Suddenly, the break is on as a long ball is played to Magennis who does brilliantly to hold off his marker before forcing a corner.
CLOSE! Norwood, who is yet to find the net for his country after 41 caps, bends the free-kick around the wall but it's just too high, missing the target by a few inches.
Corry Evans is released in space in a really dangerous position but he's hacked down by a cynical Boateng right on the edge of the penalty area. Northern Ireland have a chance to test Neuer from a free-kick now...
SHOT! Magennis, who is causing the Germany defence all kinds of problems as a lone striker, does brilliantly to hold the ball up and fire an effort at goal from a tight angle but it's never beating Neuer.
GOAL RULED OUT! Muller does brilliantly well to reach a long ball and cut it back to Gotze who applies the finish in the penalty area to make it 3-0... however, the flag is up! It's a dubious decision from the linesman...
Davis, in an advanced position, is too complacent with possession and Germany win the ball back and here comes another attack...
Northern Ireland try to play their way out of defence and end up gifting possession back to the hosts. A deep cross is sent towards the back post, forcing a corner.
Davis releases Magennis in space behind the home defence and suddenly Northern Ireland have a great opportunity... but it comes to nothing as the linesman raises his offside flag. It's the right decision, the Charlton forward made his run too soon.
McGovern has to be alert, and brave, to punch clear a deep cross into his penalty area.
Ward falls to the ground while in control of the ball on the edge of the penalty area and the forward wants a free-kick. It looks as though he lost his footing on the wet surface, however.
Davis has been Northern Ireland's best player thus far and he does well to win the ball back for his side in the middle of the park. It sparks a half chance for his side as Norwood delivers a cross into the penalty area but the home defence is able to clear.
The visiting fans haven't had too much to cheer about in the opening 28 minutes but they're currently making the most noise in the stands!
CHANCE! The ball breaks to Ward inside the penalty area but the forward doesn't get his shot away quick enough, allowing Boateng to make a challenge, and the deflected effort is comfortable for Neuer.
WATCH: Draxler breaks the deadlock.
Kroos appears to be hobbling after a collision with Corry Evans. Joachim Low looks on from the touchline with a concerned look on his face. He will be assessed over the next few minutes but he should be OK to continue.
There were rumours the midfielder would be dropped for his country for this evening's game but he has silenced his critics with an early goal.
It's a poor corner delivery from Northern Ireland and Khedira can easily clear at the near post.
The throw-in is delivered towards the near post and Hummels does well to back-peddle and divert the ball out for a corner.
Hodson wins a throw-in on the right-hand channel and Magennis has a chance to throw the ball into the home penalty area now...
Now it's a case of damage limitation for Northern Ireland who will be keen to avoid a heavy thrashing. Germany are not in the mood to take pity on their opponents, it appears.
- GoalSami KhediraGermany
GOAL! Germany 2-0 Northern Ireland - The visitors are undone by a simple corner as Khedira heads in at the near post after Hummels nodded an inswinging cross towards goal.
Not the start the visitors had in mind and it could be a long, long night for Michael O'Neill's side.
- GoalJulian DraxlerGermany
GOAL! Germany 1-0 Northern Ireland - Draxler is on the score-sheet as the hosts break the deadlock. Northern Ireland switch off for just a moment as McAuley allows Draxler too much time on the edge of the area and the forward curls his shot into the bottom corner. The goalkeeper gets a fingertip to it but can't keep it out.
Germany pass the ball around leisurely outside the away penalty area. Eventually Kroos decides to shoot but the shot is blocked. Michael O'Neill's side defending well at the moment.
OVER! A Germany free-kick causes the visitors all kinds of bother. Eventually the ball is pulled back to Draxler whose shot is blocked, the rebound falls to Hector but the defender sees his shot fired well over the bar.
Northern Ireland advance into the Germany half and Norwood gets rather excited as he gathers possession 35 yards from goal and tries a shot.... which is well over.
The home side are dominating possession at the moment, as you'd expect. It's a wet night in Germany and the ball isn't moving as freely as Joachim Low's side may like.
SAVE! Gotze is unmarked to meet a cross inside the penalty area but his header is straight at McGovern who makes the stop. A brilliant opportunity for the hosts.
A long ball should be dealt with easily by Hummels in the home defence but he slips on the wet surface and suddenly Magennis is in for Northern Ireland. However, Neuer is off his line quickly but his clearance is straight to Ward around 40 yards out. His touch lets him down though and he can't get his shot away.
Northern Ireland shouldn't park a bus this evening... they should park two! That is according to Gerry Armstrong who doesn't sound too confident about his country's chances.
Northern Ireland's last win against Germany was in November 1983 (1-0) courtesy of a goal from Norman Whiteside.

KICK-OFF! Germany get us underway.
The teams met in the European Championships in the summer when Germany emerged as 1-0 winners. In truth, Joachim Low's side could have scored at least six on the night only for a hugely impressive performance from Northern Ireland's goalkeeper Michael McGovern who was in inspirational form. He will have another busy night, one would imagine...
STAT! Only two nations, Portugal in 1985 and England in 2001, have beaten Germany in 86 World Cup qualifiers. Can Northern Ireland become the third?!
Will Grigg isn't involved this evening but he can still play a part for the visitors, claims Mat Hummels...
Northern Ireland are unbeaten in Group C, taking four points from two matches, and Michael O'Neill isn't ruling out his side pulling off a shock result in Germany. "It is feasible to win any game," he said. "We need a lot of things to go in our favour. We will only win the game by being difficult to beat. If from that approach we can manage to win the game that's how we'll do it. We won't come here like the Czech Republic and play 4-4-2 and let's have a great go and the game's over in 25 minutes. We will have to be very rigid in how we play."
Meanwhile, Michael O’Neill makes three changes from the Northern Ireland side which overcame San Marino 4-0 at the weekend. Lee Hodson and Aaron Hughes come into the defence, while Corry Evans enters the midfield. Kyle Lafferty, who scored twice on Saturday after coming off the bench, is named amongst the substitutes once again.
The hosts are unchanged from their 3-0 victory over Czech Republic on Saturday. Mesut Ozil, featuring in midfield, will earn his 83rd cap for his country, which makes him the most-capped player in the current squad.
GERMANY: Neuer, Hector, Hummels, Khedira, Draxler, Kroos, Özil, Müller, Boateng, Kimmich, Götze. NORTHERN IRELAND: McGovern, Hodson, Hughes, McAuley, J. Evans, Ferguson, Davis, Norwood, C. Evans, Ward, Magennis.
