Hello and welcome to Eurosport's LIVE text coverage of the World Cup qualifier between France and Finland in Group D. Could this be classed as a must-win for France? Didier Deschamps' side are without a win in five games and what's more, they'll have to do without Kylian Mbappe, who limped out of training with a calf problem. Les Bleus are still top of the group but Finland - full of confidence after qualifying for their major tournament - are hot on their heels. We'll have all the build-up followed by minute-by-minute commentary when the match starts at 19:45.

What a goal that would have been! Majestic one-touch passing from France carves up another great opening for Griezmann but he can't keep his shot down! We would have been talking about that for years had that gone in!

Close! Hernandez makes a marauding run down the left from and his cross is just a whisker ahead of Martial, who would have been left with a tap-in had he been able to make the connection.

Save! Rabiot forces Hradecky into a save with a powerful effort from distance and he had to be alert to tip that past the post.

Alho is hurt after being caught by a late challenge from Dubois. The Finland full-back stays down and Dubois is fortunate not to go into the book.

Griezmann rolls a ball into the feet of Dubois and he has two team mates in the middle to find with his cross but fails to do so. It comes back to Griezmann, whose shot is deflected into the side-netting for a corner, and that will allow medics to treat Hernandez for a minor injury.

In the end, the free-kick is a total waste as it's whipped in but simply catching practice for Lloris.

Free-kick! A pass is threaded through to Pukki, drawing the foul from Kimpembe. Finland have a free-kick about 30 yards out and this is a dangerous situation.

Even without Mbappe, France look much more menacing in attack tonight, as the off balanced Pogba slices a shot wide.

Important block! Benzema tricks his way into the penalty area but a last-ditch tackle by O'Shaughnessy denies the Real Madrid star.

France are taking a breather as Finland knock the ball around. The visitors have caused one or two problems but Lloris hasn't been tested as of yet.

A floated cross into the Finland penalty area is over the head of Benzema, but it drops to Dubois, whose shot is deflected behind for yet another corner.

GOAL! France 1-0 Finland (Antoine Griezmann): What a fine strike from Griezmann! The build-up is delightful as France play a triangle of one-touch passing before the Atleti forward takes control, curling a first-time shot into the bottom corner with a delighful shot.

Save! On the counter-attack, Griezmann lays it on to Benzema, who really catches a hold of a powerful effort from inside the area, forcing Hradecky into a fine save. From the resultant corner, Hernandez blazes over the bar.

France's attempt to play out from the back is unsuccessful and Finland's high press helps them to win the ball back. This is a really bright spell for the visitors. O'Shaughnessy launches another throw-in into the heart of the France penalty area, but it comes to nothing.
