Welcome to live coverage of Poland versus England in World Cup Qualifying Group I in the European zone. It’s usually good, this fixture, particularly when it’s connected to the World Cup. Although the common perception regarding Poland is that they are a bogey team for England in this competition, the record doesn’t bear this out. Poland have only beaten England once in 20 attempts, a 2-0 victory in June 1973 that set up the result that really grates on England; a 1-1 draw at Wembley four months later that knocked England out of the World Cup and spelled the end for Alf Ramsey. Since then, England have had the upper hand. A hat-trick by Gary Lineker in Monterrey (you may have heard him mention it) set England on their path to meet with Diego Maradona in Mexico 86, while Bobby Robson’s team then survived – just – a late crossbar wobbler from Ryszard Tarasiewicz in 1989 that almost nixed England’s Italia ’90 love-in seven months ahead of the tournament. Overall, England have won 12,

End of 2nd Half
FT
There's no time for any more; that dramatic late sting from Szymanski has rescued a point for Poland.

Blimey, they're loving that here! England made a mess of trying to control injury time there..
90+2'
GOAL! Poland 1 (Szymanski 90+2') England 1
The pressure pays off! The ball ricochets around the England area and is picked up by Lewandowski on the left. He stands a perfect cross up to the back post, where Szymanski leaps to thump a header into the net from six yards out!

Poland are pushing here, but a cross from the right deflects off Mount and is safely gathered by Pickford.
89'
Lovely stuff from Lewandowski, as he pulls a 50 yard pass out of the sky with insulting ease. He tries to cut across Stones and shoot from the edge of the box, but Stones defended well again and the effort goes well wide of goal.
88'
A lovely flick from Grealish releases Shaw down the left, but his cross can't find Kane.
87'
Stones has played well tonight, and nixes a Polish break on the edge of England's area here after Phillips gives the ball away in midfield.
86'
Kane has a chance to put Sterling in on the right of Poland's area, but puts way too much on the pass and it's out for a goal kick.
83'
I fancy another here, one way or the other, as Poland are going for it.
81'
CLOSE! Pickford dallies over a clearance with his feet and it's charged down by Frankowski. The ball bounces towards goal and Pickford scrambles back to gather before it can cross the line. Blimey!

Three more dice rolls as Helik, Rybus and Frankowski replace Glik, Puchacz and Jozwiak for Poland.

Excellent pressing from Phillips wins the ball for Kane, who is flattened by Linetty as he tries to break. Yellow card.

Puchacz is booked for a late lunge on Sterling.
77'
Puchacz again tries to split England open, this time with an angled ball for Swiderski, but again it's slightly too pacy and Pickford gathers.
74'
Szczesny seemed to see that late, and probably should have done better; the dip and the late fade on the ball confused him.
72'
GOAL! Poland 0 England 1 (Kane 72)
Out of nothing, England lead! Kane picks the ball up, unmarked and 30 yards from goal. He moves forward a little and hits a dipping, swerving drive past Szczesny and into the bottom corner. Kane has now scored in 15 qualifiers on the spin!

Poland break forwards through Lewandowski. He has options left and right but shoots from 25 yards; it's tame and straight at Pickford.
70'
Poland's skipper here, making what should be an obvious point.
67'
Grealish is really getting wound up tonight. He ghosts by Dawidowicz who pulls him back, but again Siebert waves play on.
In more substitution news, Krychowiak comes off and is replaced by Szymanski.
66'
Puchacz has had a good game for Poland. He walks away from Mount in midfield and jags into the left of the area, but shoots well wide of the near post.
