R. Sigurdsson has run himself into the ground and wins a free-kick after being tripped by Mascherano.
- OffMaximiliano MezaArgentina

Higuain is on for Meza for the dying minutes, he should have perhaps been brought on earlier.
MESSI CHANCE! Iceland give the ball away, it comes to Messi who has space 25 yards out and bends the ball towards the corner but it goes wide.
PENALTY SHOUT! Pavon is brought down in the box but no penalty is given by the ref, there was definitely contact. No VAR this time which is a surprise.

- OffÁngel Di MaríaArgentina
- OnCristian PavónArgentina
Boca striker Christian Pavon is on for Di Maria, who has looked isolated on the flank.
Argentina have another free-kick 30 yards out after another foul by Bjarnason. But his effort is straight into the wall.
Aguero has been anonymous since scoring that stunning goal, he just has not had the service from the likes of Messi and Di Maria who have been below-par.
A bit harsh..
CHANCE! Messi wins a free-kick after a strong challenge 30 yards out. He steps up but his effort is well over, he has not looked like a happy camper today.

MESSI MISSES THE PENALTY! The Barcelona man's spot kick is strongly palmed away to his right, poor spot kick.

Biglia is coming off for Ever Banega to inject some creativity with Mascherano behind him protecting the defence.
G. Sigurdsson wins a corner after his cross is blocked by Otamendi. He whips in a cross which Caballero punches away.
Bjarnason whips in a good cross for Finnbogason who leaves it thinking there is a team-mate behind him, will Iceland come to rue that error?
As Guns and Roses once sang, its been all about patience for Argentina who are zipping the ball around looking for an opener. And they have a corner down the left, Di Maria's delivery is a good one but Otamendi's header goes handsomely high.
Similar to France earlier, Sampaoli can call upon a couple of matchwinners off the bench in Higuain and Dybala.

- End of 1st Half
HALF TIME: Aguero gave Argentina the lead with a stunning strike but Finnbogason equalised to make it 1-1 after a mixup at the back. It has been an intriguing game in Moscow.
GOOD SAVE! G. Sigurdsson's side-footed effort from a tight angle is palmed away by Caballero. Thirty seconds later the Everton man has space to lash in a volley put puts it wide.
Total passes - Argentina 330, 70 to Iceland. But the most important stat is it is 1-1.
ANOTHER PENALTY SHOUT! Salvio's cross appeared to hit the defender's arm as he slid in to block the cross. VAR had a look and its play on, that was not deliberate.
PENALTY SHOUT! Meza cuts the ball back for Biglia who goes down under a challenge but the ref waves for a corner after VAR takes a quick look. The delivery from Messi is well caught by the keeper.
Messi drives into the box and his effort is blocked for a corner. Meza's setpiece is headed away, it comes back to him and he goes down but no foul is given.
Salvio has looked decent going forward as has Meza with his runs behind the defender, he has been close to getting on the end of some long balls from Otamendi.
DECENT EFFORT: Biglia comes forward and rather than passing to Messi tries a long-range drive which curls over.
REF INJURES PLAYER: Well you don't see that often, the referee was walking back and accidentally collided with Gunnarson's leg and he is down on the floor and in pain.
The referee has to separate Di Maria and Gudmundsson from a bit of handbags over allowing Iceland to take a free-kick.
Gunnarson wipes the ball, takes a runup and launches a long throw in to the box ala Stoke City which is headed away.
That long diagonal ball is causing the Argentines problems. Seconds before the goal, Sigurdsson's cross was nearly headed in after Caballero's error.
This is not the first time you will read this, Argentina's back five look disorganised.
- GoalAlfred FinnbogasonIceland
GOAL FOR ICELAND! Finnbogason strokes the ball in from close range after Caballero can only parry a low cross. Seconds earlier the Chelsea keeper flapped at a cross.
Messi is going further forward and unleashes an effort from around 25 yards which is comfortable for the keeper to save.
Aguero has been anonymous before then but showed his quality for his first ever World Cup goal.
- GoalSergio AgüeroArgentina
WHAT A GOAL BY AGUERO! Rojo's drive falls to the feet of the Man City striker with his back to goal and he hammers it in on the turn.

Its 14 minutes it in, and we have our first thunderclap rendition from the Iceland supporters. Great stuff.
What a start it has been, Messi is starting to pull the strings around the halfway line but Sampaoli's side look vulnerable to the long ball.
Messi has a moan after dropping deep again as Di Maria's cross is blocked for a corner. The PSG winger's set piece is overhit and cleared by Saevarsson.
DOUBLE CHANCE FOR ICELAND! A long ball is played over the top for Finnbogason who lashes a shot over from a tight angle after getting behind Rojo. Argentina make a hash of the back pass, the ball is played to Bjarnason around six yards out but he sidefoots it wide, he should have scored!
CHANCE! Argentina have a free-kick around 35 yards out. Messi whips it in low and Tagliafico's flicked diving header goes inches wide.
Messi drops deep and is fouled from behind by Gunnarson, he's operating as a midfielder at the moment because the penalty box is so congested.
Tagliafico wins a free-kick on the left flank after going for a 50:50 ball. Messi will take it but wants a new ball, he is not happy with the other one. He whips it in, its flicked on by Otamendi and flashes across the box.
Iceland have frustrated Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Kane and co at Euro 2016, can they earn another scalp today? They have started confidently.
KICK OFF: Iceland boss Heimir Hallgrímsson had his eyes closed as he belted out the national anthem. It is Iceland to get us underway in their white shirts, while Argentina are in black.
Five minutes until kick-off!
Jorge Sampaoli has denied claims in the buildup that he is underestimating Iceland by naming his line-up early.
"I've told you because we have trained with the starting XI and I don't believe it's necessary to hide this information.
"We know Iceland's main man, their captain (Aron Gunnarsson), is recovering from injury but they play well as a group and I'm sure it's going to be very tough against them.
"They defend in depth and will probably play on the counter attack. Iceland will be a tough team to beat."
Iceland came out on top of their World Cup qualifying group ahead of Croatia. Their recent results have been more patchy, losing to Norway, Mexico and Peru in friendlies and drawing with Ghana.
The word Iceland sends a shiver down the spine of many England fans after this night in 2016, can they repeat the feat today?
Gylfi Sigurdsson had a patchy first season with Everton with four goals but he will be the man to stop for Iceland today. He has netted 19 times in 57 games for his country.
Lets pick the bones of the Argentina lineup, Sergio Aguero is preferred ahead of Gonzalo Higuain in a 4-2-3-1 formation. There's no Eva Banega either and despite an erratic few starts for Chelsea at the backend of the Premier League season, Willy Caballero is between the sticks.
ICELAND XI: Halldorsson, Saevarsson, R Siguardsson, Arnason, Magnusson, J Gudmundsoon, Bjarnason, G Sigurdsson, Gunnarson, Hallefredsson, Finnbogason.
ARGENTINA XI: Caballero, Salvio, Otamendi, Rojo, Tagliafico, Biglia, Mascherano, Di Maria, Messi, Meza, Aguero.
