Diego Maradona 'fine' after being treated by paramedics

Argentina great Diego Maradona appeared to need assistance to walk after he watched his national team beat Nigeria at the World Cup on Tuesday but he later posted an update to his social media to say that he was 'fine.'

Diego Maradona has been a target for cameras at Argentina matches for some time now.
But rarely has the former star's behaviour been quite as erratic, or concerning, as it was during Tuesday night's 2-1 win over Nigeria that sent Argentina into the World Cup knockout stages.
It started well enough, with Maradona, saluting fans, unveiling a flag of himself, and even dancing with a lady acquaintance...

But Maradona appeared increasingly erratic as the much progressed and things threatened to turn sour after Marcos Rojo's winning goal, when the 57-year-old swore at fans - an act that was picked up by the television cameras before producers could cut away.

And concerns over his health appeared justified when footage emerged of Maradona struggling to stand up and being carried from his seat.
Concerning the above incident, the Argentine website of sports broadcaster ESPN said Maradona was taken to hospital. But other Argentine media described the incident as only a scare.
A spokesman for World Cup organisers FIFA said Maradona had left the stadium but could not provide further comment.
Maradona posted an update to his Instagram saying that he was fine.
"I want to tell everyone that I am fine," his Instagram post read.
"I was checked by a doctor and he recommended me to go home before the second half, but I wanted to stay because we were risking it all. How could I leave?"
