France win 1-0 and that's Les Bleus through to the final 16, and it's goodbye Peru. Sad times, personally I think they deserved at least a point there.
Giroud makes a last-minute charge on goal but it's a horrible finish, a mile off target. As France look to take a corner the final whistle is blown.
A final push for Peru as Avincula take a free kick from the near side of the pitch. Guerrero isn't best placed to receive it and that looks pretty much like their lot.
4 minutes stoppage time to be played.
Paul Pogba will now leave the pitch with Nzonzi coming on.
Guerrero takes the free kick but it's no where near high enough - over the wall and straight into the arms of Lloris.
Hello there's Pogba again, giving away another free kick. He leaps to head the ball and catches Farfan in the face with his hand. A yellow card and a dangerous position for France, now.
Just missed a substitution for Peru, by the way. Cuevo has been replaced by Ruidiaz.
It's a free kick for Peru after Pogba brings one of their men down. Almost the only time I've noticed Pogba today.
Not quite sure what happened there. Flores saw the yeloow card but it was quickly retracted thanks to a VAR decision and extended instead to team mate Aquino.
Griezmann is leaving the pitch and doing so in a more timely fashion than his team mate, to be replaced by Fekir.
Guerrero just offside as he attempts to make a break for it.
Mbappe makes a meal of leaving the pitch just as he has many times while being on it, today, shaking every hand he can as he is substituted. It's really rather unnecessary and the Peru fans are not happy. Ousmane Dembele comes on. Eventually.
That was very exciting! Carillo chases the ball down and crosses to Farfan, but he's just at the wrong angle and it hits the side of the net as he makes an energetic leap to strike.
Advincula strikes now, from the near corner of the 18 yard box. It's a good effort, but again it's over the bar.
Peru have had the bulk of the possession with 55%. If only they would stop losing it...
The ball is played down to Carillo down near the goal line on the right wing. He's not quite in the right position to make anything of it.
SHOT! An extended period of pressure by Peru, pressing forward. Carillo strikes from outside the 18 yard box and it's good - but just a little too high over the bar.
Carillo runs into the box with the ball and quickly winds up on the floor after arms cross with his French marksman. The ref is not convinced. No free kick.
A great effort by Aquino who shoots the ball just shy of the far corner.
Umtiti has just spent a lengthy period on the floor after a mid-air collision.
Jefferson Farfan and Anderson Santamaria come on to replace Yotun and Rodriguez.
Substitutions for Peru as we go into the second half...
Wonderful steal by Griezmann but giroud isn't quite there as the ball is played forward. That's the whistle. We go into the break 1-0 to France.
Two minutes of added time to play.
Peru are getting a bit sloppy here, possibly. France are finding it a bit too easy to gain possession.
Wowee this is a fast game. France are back down in Peru's box in seconds after a steal at the other end of the pitch. It's Giroud versus the keeper, but he's fast - as he needs to be.
GOAL! Mbappe intercepts Olivier Giroud's shot into the box as the keeper chases it down. Just taps it in the open goal. France 1-0 Peru.
SHOT! Guerrero is in the six yard box with the ball and he shoots - the first proper chance of the game. Cleared.
Mbappe is on the floor now, after getting caught in the back. Looked like he made a bit of a meal of it, but who knows.
Great interception by Peru on the edge of the box, the ball plays forward to Flores who takes the shot too soon.
Guerrero has been booked for reaching back for a quick push in the face of Umtiti, he doesn't like it.
Free kick to Peru as Pavard gets a hand to the ball. Didn't look intentional to be fair. It's a good ball by Peru but Umtiti and Rodriguez are having a tussle in the box.
Blaise Matuidi is booked for a bit of a pull back of Advincula.
Mbappe goes down in the box for the second time in about two minutes the referee, he does not care.
France have a corner but there's some argy-bargy in the box between Mbappe and Flores.
SHOT! Pogba shoots now, from outside the 18 yard box. It's just wide but not by much.
Griezmann runs into the box but it's not a good shot, firing wide of the post at close range.
Pavard gives Guerrero a bit of a shove as he makes a run with the ball, intercepted just inside Peru's box. It's a free kick.
Some nice passing by Peru, but Cueva can't quite get to the ball in time as it sails down the near wing.
This is fast and furious stuff from both sides...
Quick start by Peru but a foul goes against Flores allowing France to take control. It doesn't last long - a loose ball flies out of play .
And a little reminder for you...
Gosh, none of this lot are mumblers. Top anthem-ing Peru.
Meanwhile Peru's celebrity friends wish them well.
We're into the anthems now. Say what you like about Giroud - he's not a mumbler.
Though a draw and a win would still in theory be enough to get them through on a positive goal difference. Everything to play for.
As Group C stands, following Denmark's 1-1 draw with Australia earlier, the Danes top the group with four points, France are second with three. Peru are bottom with no points and Australia above with one. So Peru pretty much need to win today.
Also in the spotlight is Peru's record scorer and Captain, Paolo Guerrero. Guerrero came on as a sub during Peru's first outing of the tournament after a 14 month drugs ban was lifted. That ban was lifted by the Swiss supreme court after the captains of Group C rivals Australia, Denmark and France wrote to Fifa asking it to lift the ban.
All eyes are on Pogba today as every man, woman, child and possibly dog continues banging on about whether or not he's in fact a bit disappointing.
And Hugo Lloris, incidentally, earns his 100th cap for France.
And two changes for Peru. Captain Paolo Guerrero, who had a doping ban temporarily lifted by the Swiss supreme court for the World Cup, replaces Jefferson Farfan and midfielder Pedro Aquino comes on for Renato Tapia.
Deschamps makes two changes to the France squad, bringing in Olivier Giroud dropping Ousmane Dembele to the bench. In the midfield Corentin Tolisso makes way for Blaise Matuidi.
France: Lloris, Pavard, Varane, Untiti, Hernandez, Kante, Pogba, Matuidi, Mbappe, Griezmann, Giroud.
