Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Paraguay submit joint bid to host 2030 FIFA World Cup
The four South American countries have launched a joint effort to bring the centenary edition of the tournament "home". The inaugural World Cup was held in, and won by, Uruguay in 1930, while Chile (1962) and Argentina (1978) are also former hosts. Spain and Portugal have already announced their own joint-bid for the 2030 tournament.
